I imagine hearthstone/ blizzard employees targeting the effect of dying boom bots to your 8 hp hero, typing 4 as the outcome for each bot, laughing with tears flowing out of their eyes, "RNG only exists in your head, son!"
Who are "they?" Why is their posture so bad? Does the game choose one of the possible outcomes every time something random happens??
"THEY" are THE MAN! The grand oppressors! The one's on top who are trying to keep all us little guys down!
Of course "their posture is so bad!" They want to make US feel bad so THEY feel good! They don't care how we feel as long as we can line their pockets with cold hard cash! They'll throw us a bone every now and then to keep our hopes up, but in the end...we're doomed and they rejoice at this fact! Because only THEY know the true outcome!
The game doesn't choose possible outcomes...THE MAN does! Of course, they don't do this themselves! They're above such menial labor! They hire peons...initiates who have given their all to the will of THE MAN! These initiates wish to become THE MAN themselves one day, but becoming THE MAN isn't something you can work to become, but something you are born into or, if you're EXTREMELY lucky, married into!
We are all just pawns in THE MAN's game...most of you don't know it...but you will now! Until THE MAN sends one of their many lackeys to squelch my voice!
For those of you who read this, remember my words for they will not be up here long...either a Hearthpwn moderator will remove my post or this thread will "magically" become buried among all the other threads...you'll start to see a dramatic influx in "nerf ______" threads or "which Legendary should I craft" threads.
Confirmation/selection bias. Humans are wired to remember bad breaks much more than good breaks. It's the reason I can recall ton's of times (in vivid detail) of when I lost large poker pots due to somebody drawing out on the river, but I can't remember a single time I did that to somebody else. It's happened, I know it's happened, but the memory is not deep in my head. In hearthstone, it's easy to remember when that mad bomber took out your 2 1 health minions leaving your large minion untouched, but it's probably happened the other way (maybe not that specific thing).
If you want to see how random the random actually is, keep a log of boom bot damage or something. You'll find it should be about normal after a significant enough sample.
The following is speculation. Since its unlikely anyone has access to Hearthstone's source code, I can't prove any of this, just like the pro-RNG crowd can't prove their argument either.
It's not rigged completely, but it definitely is using the same ideas as some sport arcade games. NBA Jam was notorious for allowing the person behind to make ridiculous 3-point shots with ease while the leader couldn't make a dunk.
1) There is no true "RNG". - While there are cards that have variable outcomes, those outcomes can are are being skewed based on the game. You are more likely to get a favorable outcome if you are losing. Doing this keeps the game interesting and prevents constant blowouts, which would discourage "bad" players.
It might look like the following. Take the boom-bot. If the game is even, then you have a 25% chance to deal 1-4 damage.
If you are behind, dealing 4 gets bumped up from 25% to 40%. Same with 3. 2 damage becomes 15%, while you only have a 5% chance to deal 1. If you are winning, the opposite occurs.
It's irritating, sure. But it keeps players playing. Blizz learned long ago from WoW that denial of a goal will keep gamers coming back over and over.."Oh, your item didn't drop? Try again next week." has become "Oh, 'Rng *snicker* screwed you? Try again. No one is unlucky *lol* forever." And players will try again. And they will spend gold, and hopefully, real money.

Nothing u write has any real value, unless u can provide some test sample with real numbers and even then, the sample would have to be quite large, but nevertheless this is a bit interesting, i might try to start recording my boombots dmg together with the state of the board, if i was ahead or behind :)
i am laughing my pants off over here!! do people really think that blizzard uses a modified RNG in their code? Over the hundreds of millions of games played by millions of players, what benefit could they possibly be trying to exploit?
my #conspiracytheory of Blizzard creating OP cards (e.g. Leeroy Jenkins, Undertaker, Dr. Boom) to get people to BUY them and then later nerfing them (once ownership hits a certain percentage) makes way more sense...

I could almost agree with that except that if they nerf a card, you can get full dust value back out of it for disenchanting it. You could then save that dust for the next op thing, netting blizz nothing over time. Much more likely that they didn't think the cards would be as much of a problem as they were. And Dr. Balanced isn't nerfed yet, and if Blizz should be trusted (ha), they are not looking at nerfing it.
if you are correct, then you should be Legend ranked #1.
After all, if it's not really RNG, and there is a pattern that your brilliant mind has been able to deduce, then you should be able to exploit that pattern and win every game.

Right?
Were it so easy. Like a card counter in blackjack, you are eventually caught, and while you can move on to another casino in real life, there is only one provider of the Hearthstone game, and they are not forgiving and never forget.
I have to thank the OP, this is probably one of the funniest things I have read in my entire life. The satire is brilliant. Purposely misspelling "stop" so they look like an idiot who can't spell? GENIUS

I dunno about this. I've been ridiculously ahead, used Bane of Doom and drew Mal'Ganis. I've also been ridiculously behind and Boom Botted for -1, -1.
Blizzard knows their player base, particularly those interested in HS, are likely to "do the math" at some point. Any revelation confirming manipulation would ruin them.
I can only imagine the hard work blizzard has done on coding to implement this rigged scheme. Why rely on RNG when u can make ur player base suffer a lot more by adding a few thousands lines to your code. It makes sense.

I think everyone who has played this game more then a couple of days has noticed that RNG in this game is actually rigged and not random.
If you think about it nothing is stooping them from rigging this game.
Who are "they?" Why is their posture so bad? Does the game choose one of the possible outcomes every time something random happens??
Yes, they have code like:
I imagine hearthstone/ blizzard employees targeting the effect of dying boom bots to your 8 hp hero, typing 4 as the outcome for each bot, laughing with tears flowing out of their eyes, "RNG only exists in your head, son!"

It's definitely rigged. Millions of dollars are won and lost based on the outcome of Hearthstone matches in secret basement internet cafes.
Nothing will stoop them!!

RNG, most lame excuse since Hearthstone Beta.
Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.

Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out
