Emperor Thaurissan is a great anti-Mill card. What better than having a load of cards in your hand when you play Thaurissan. I've already seen the Mill playstyle blow up in Rogues' faces when Thaurissan is dropped on the board.

Yes it is very good if it is not burned , it makes control decks have chance of winning against mill rouge, but it is not that important in aggro classes imo
I called it! I knew Gang Up would be freakin insane in Mill Rogue and ppl kept rating it as a 1/10,... Millrogue pretty much hardcounters every Control Deck there is right now,... The setup vs. aggro is also not bad thx to Deathlord, the potential of 8 (!!!) Antique Healbots and paired with the usual rogue removals. Even Paladin has a ton of problems if the Rogue Vanishes a full board with silver hand recruits,... Only weapon to face can save you here and being careful with your Hero Power is a must.
I only see Combo Druid currently being really favored,...
I find it funny almost everything thought the card was trash when it was first Revealed.
Not the first time. Most of us thought Dr. Boom was Meh. MANY people also thought the 4 mana shredder was 'meh' and the 6 mana version was great.
I know I was off by a lot for GvG. Though I was pretty well off on Nax (many hated webspinner though I thought i twas insane. Many hated chow but I saw the purpose. Many either overstated or understated Deathlord).
Myself, I saw Gang up as a way to get a mil ldeck, but didn't expect that rogue had all the pieces needed to pull one off.
Next up, Consort proves to be a worthless card and everyone decides that being Rag is the best thing since gravedigger.
To address the OP's main concern, milling is a valid strategy regardless of the extent. An entire deck that focus on milling (with one alternative win condition because all decks have alternative win conditions) has been a part of TCGs and CCGs since forever.
I like facing mill decks as it usually means that they do card draw for me. Also due their deck is dedicated to mill you, they have hard time to stop your overwhelming them unless they draw the cards they need. Those decks often break down if they don't have the cards in their hand that they need. Also even bigger weakness for mill deck are the decks that have only a few minions.

It does supply something that the game has been lacking: a counter to the heavy use of card draw mechanics. Without mill decks, the goal has been to grab as many cards as possible without losing tempo. This is the basis behind Oil rogue, Miracle and Warlock dominance. Actual mill decks help to keep them in check. THus if you have a deck that's big on card draw then you risk falling flat to mill, just like how being too greedy in control leaves you vulnerable to aggro.
The question is whether Tempo decks, which, in HS, have limited card draw and focus on efficient use of tempo for constant pressure, can emerge properly as those are the counter to Mill. We'll see.
Haha, people crying over mill decks now? Hilarious.
People will always cry... while other people will seek for "unbeatable decks"...
As soon as someone finds an unbeatable deck people start crying again... first it was facehunter, now its mill... I believe people just want to play someone without any cards in them so they wont be annoyed by them.

Thanks for the huge misunderstanding :), mill rouge is far from being unbeatable
Gang Up in it's present incarnation is terribly OP for mainly two reasons. First the low cost. 2 Mana to create 3 copies of any card. Secondly, the cards can even be your opponents card. Add this to the mill strategy, it's simply not fun at all for anyone other than the rouge. I hope that it is balanced in the future.
i dont get it why people crying over new decks. its always the same decks out there on the ladder, you should be happy some people try new stuff like mill rogue, new warrior and whatnot so we have some variation.
to lay some sarcasm in, for many it isn't that the decks are the same or that the game is too fast/slow or X class is too strong.
It's that the deck THEY want to play doesn't win all of the games they play. THAT is the problem that has to be fixed.

No deck can win every game even if its the most viable deck and face a good matchups, still R.N.G can do its things, i'm happy that mill rouge is not that popular nor op and i win 3 games against them today because they rely heavily in mulligan Coldlight Oracle and if they didn't get it early then it will be near impossible for them to win, rushing them and spending all mana as possible and the Emperor Thaurissan help a lot.
I feel like most people who complain about Deck X just got wrecked by someone with a perfect draw. I have a mill rogue and it's okay, but it doesn't compare to my control mage, muster pally, or the new Grim Patron warrior. I put mill rogue on par with my Alarm-o-Bot Druid. The fact of the matter is that a good deck with a good player in Hearthstone will have about a 60% win rate. Out of every 5 games, probably 1 of those wins or losses was due to one or the other player having an absolutely perfect draw. You will not beat someone with a perfect draw, regardless of what deck you're playing, unless you have an equally perfect draw, in which case it's a coin flip.
I'm not saying Mill Rogue is terrible - it's not, but it also isn't the godly deck you think it is. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that any deck which is build around a single card is generally not a good one to play with. 1/4 of the time you won't even see that card in the first half of the game.

Rogue just used Gang up on my Dr. Boom with like 10 cards in hand. This shit is broken as fuck.
M'kay... Now let's mil rexxar
Where have you been the whole day :)
I find it funny almost everyone thought the card was trash when it was first Revealed. I was in the other camp of this card is great for Value.
Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

I'll probably try this deck out but mill decks aren't even second tier unfortunately.
Yes, I think Fatigue damage should be reduced to nerf milling.
Haha, people crying over mill decks now? Hilarious.
It will disappear like Fatigue Druids did
