From the mouths of blues: Looks like it's intentional.. http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Misdirection "If triggered while the enemy hero has a weapon equipped, and if the minion who triggered it is forced to attack the enemy hero, then the minion will take retaliatory damage from the hero's weapon."
WTF.
The card: Misdirection This has to be a bug if the card needs errata from a 3rd party website to explain itself. If its not a bug, then the card text needs to be updated. No other interaction in the game works this way, including basic attacks against an opponent.
This seems intended to me. It seems like it counts your weapon as an attack value, just like the other minions if the misdirected target were to attack another minion. It would be like you attacking with your weapon and it triggering misdirection.
I also changed it to its in the title to avoid the discussion going off topic.
So when minions attack your hero, you thump them automatically defensively attack them with your weapon?
Oh sarcasm, my bad :)
During his turn the weapon is active, when it passes the turn his weapon is inactive and can't deal damage so you can attack him without being hurt.
Really? You interpret it by if the weapon is shut off or not? I can understand how that can work, but under that logic you shouldn't be able to destroy an opponents weapon with an Acidic Ooze cause its hiding behind the doors.

Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.
I love it. I have killed many people with Misdirection. My favorite kill was a paladin attacking and the only other target up was Rag. This is the deck I run with Misdirection.
When it's your turn and you have, say, a Truesilver Champion, your portrait has an attack value of 4. After your turn ends, that attack value goes away.

Of course it's not a bug. During your opponent's turn, his hero can attack, right?

If your hero can attack, he can defend? Seems pretty obvious to me.
