Hey guys!
While we wait for Hearthstone's Beta to come out, I created some puzzles using the cards that are currently available to us. The idea is that I show you guys a board state, possibly some cards in hand, and you have to figure out how to win the game.
So here is the first puzzle! You are playing as the warrior, and your opponent is the druid. This is your 10th turn and you were unable to do a single damage to the opposing hero! He was able to put up a huge wall of taunt minions, while slowly draining your health. See the board state on the attached image.
OPPONENT - 30 Life
HIS MINIONS - Abomination x2; Ironbark Protector x2; Lord of the Arena; Mugu’shan Warden x2; Sen’jin Shieldmasta’.
YOU - 1 Life, 10/10 Mana Crystals
YOUR MINIONS - Flesheating Ghoul; Frothing Berserker; Gurubashi Berseker; Mana Addict; Pint-Sized Summoner; Wild Pyromancer.
YOUR HAND - Dire Wolf Alpha; Ironbeak Owl; Shield Slam; Cruel Taskmaster; Faceless Manipulator; Big Game Hunter; Rampage; Charge.
Can you figure out how to finish the game this turn?

I think this thread is a fantastic idea! I hope you'll continue to do them.
I have flipped this in my head a hundred million times, and I can't get any closer. You DO know that Charge only gives Charge to ONE minion? And you do know that the Faceless Manipulator doesn't copy Battlecry effects? If you tell me these two rules apply here, I may give this another shot tomorrow. Otherwise, it I have to say it feels like a hopeless endeavor, and this is coming from a guy who loves puzzles =/
The only two "sure" things are the Armor Up! and Ironbeak Owl plays, since you would die from any of the two Abominations exploding if you didn't do both. That's only 2 out of 10 Mana spent though (since the owl is free with Pint-Sized), and your hand is just too open to be narrowed down easily.
Nox, i double checked the puzzle and noticed two mistakes. Sry about that, this is the first puzzle i made, i'll be more careful on the next.
First, opponent druid is at 30 life.
Second, Wild Pyromancer is in play, not on hand.
Again, i'm really sorry about that.
ps : on my solution i'm not considering faceless manipulator triggering battlecry effects or charge affecting more then 1 minion. Also, when you arrive at a solution please post it as a spoiler text.
edit: BBRODE figured out a way to solve the puzzle with wild pyromancer in hand.
1) Play Wild Pyromancer. 10 mana remaining. (free from pint sized summoner)
2) Use Hero Power. 2 Armor. 8 mana remaining.
3) Play Ironbeak Owl targetting 1 Abom. 6 mana remaining. 7 Taunters remain.
4) Shield Slam the Lord of the Arena. Wild Pyromancer triggers. 5 mana remaining.
5) Pint Sized Summoner attacks the Sen-jin Shieldmaster. (reduced to 2 Health).
6) Play Big Game Hunter targeting 1 8/8 Protector. 2 mana remaining. 6 Taunters remain.
7) Play Rampage on the Frothing Berserker. Wild Pyromancer triggers. He dies. 0 mana remaining.
8) Mana Addict attacks Mogu #1 for 5, both die. 5 Taunters remain.
9) Gurubashi Berserker attacks the second 8/8 protector for 6, both die. 4 Taunters remain.
10) Ghoul attacks Mogu #2 for 6, both die, 3 Taunters remain.
11) Play Charge on BGH. then attack the non-silenced Abom. It explodes, killing the last 2 remaining taunters with it (who were previously weakened by double pyromancer and either shield slam or an attack from the pint sized summoner).
12) Attack enemy hero for 43 damage with Frothing Berserker.
PS. You should change the puzzle back, it was fine before! :)
Haha, I came back here this morning because I woke up in the middle of the night and I had a flash where I thought "KILL THE ABOM LAST, THEN IT WORKS!". I think my brain was overloaded with the 40 minutes I spent on this just before sleep, because I couldn't think about anything else.
I suck at solving things like this if I don't have it visually in front of me and can see what happens, but major kudos for making it and getting a few people an interesting challenge. :D
This is something that might be a cool addition to the game as well, somewhere in the future. People love puzzels! It would be a very good way to have people experiment and learn with different heroes and cards they'd not normally use. It would also provide a different take on single player and playing against the computer.

Feedback: if you could find a way to present it visually with the card art available here, it would make for a seriously awesome series. Maybe use adobe photoshop or illustrator to create giant puzzle boards where you see cards in hands, etc?
You know blizzard can actually make this sort of thing. They said there will be dailies I assumed it would be win a game with x class but a daily challange like this would also be awsome. Or it could be a new play style like play, practice or forge: challenge.
You enter challange mode you pick a class and enter a game vs an ai opponent halfway through a game similiar to this. It will have different set of time like 10 minutes or 5 or 20 depending. You would be asked to win that turn. Or you could be asked to just survive your opponents next turn. You could theoretically try to solve the same puzzle again for rewards if you weren't succesful before. If you want you can ask for autoresolve but have to pay a small price and won't get any rewards like you would if you solved it. When you enter the challenge mode you would be asked to continue your unsolved last puzzle or try a complely new one.
The new puzzle will be generated by an ai so you will always have puzzles. If there is no way to make that kind of ai then all blizzard needs to do is wait a year or two while logging all the games and use the logs to open up a random game from near it's end. The puzzles don't have to be a regular victory condition. It could be a "remove x minion from the board without losing any minions" or something like that and it could give you more than 1 turns. It can also show your opponents hand so you can strategise better.
I think this sort of thing will be great for the game :D And even if it's not implemented I'm sure we can make a puzzle club where we all ask each other puzzles like this that we made up :D

I just solved it without the Wild Pyro in play...

I'll keep it the way it is right now, it is still a good puzzle with the pyro in play. I'll add the version with pyromancer in hand as a challenge.

2) Ironbeak Owl on left Abomination (8 mana left-no more pint-sized summoner skill).
3) Cruel Taskmaster ability on Gurubashi Berserker (6 mana left- Gurubashi now a 7/6). *assuming 8 minions is possible
4) Grubashi attacks and kills one of the wardens (Gurubashi is now 10/5, Berserker is 5/4, Ghoul is 3/3).
5) Shield Slam on the right Abomination (5 mana left- taskmaster dies, owl dies); the board looks like this:
4/3(!), 4/1, 8/7, 8/7, 6/4, 1/6, 3/4 // 5/2 20/3 13/4(!) 3/3 2/1 3/1
6) Pint-sized summoner attacks Lord of the Arena and dies (Ghoul 6/2, Berserker 22/3, LotA 6/2)
