I was just curious to hear you guys opinion about each class packages drop with the new expansion. Just an overall feeling of if a class received a good set or not and why.
Also no need to cover every class all by yourself if you don't feel like it, just talk about the classes you want to talk about and why you think they received a good set package, or why T5 screwed it over in the dust.
This entire expansion looks like a clown show of overpowered nonsense, to me...
Some expansions have one or two, or a handful, of cards that you look at and go, "Eesh... how did THAT get through playtesting unchanged?"
... with this atrocity, I'm saying that with practically every single reveal. It's clear T5 is pandering entirely to the ADHD/Short Attention Span Theater crowd who want the games over in record times rather than anyone who wants to occasionally have more than one neuron firing over the course of a contest.
<shrug>, whatever... maybe it'll play itself out and there'll be mountains of nerfs and patches to make it viable... or the whole place will just be bots playing each other endlessly. Not my problem, in the end.
I really like the flavor of the set. They got me. They nostalgia got me. Well done. I like the experimental feel we have for new Whizbang, new Zilliax, or new Khadgar. Harth Stonebrew is maybe my favorite hearthstone card ever. Extremely consistent flavor wins.
I want to try a Mystery Egg hunter, a Chaotic Tendril rogue, a pirate rogue, a large number of Sonya Waterdancer stupid things. I think that shaman and priest got really cool sets too, and I'd definitely try the mech warrior if I get the cards for it.
Shaman and Hunter seem to have the most interesting stuff. Rogue is by far my favorite class, but the pirate stuff has never been the most interesting to me. Overall, flavor of expansion seems awesome and I appreciate the ode to the first 10 years of this game incorporated into it.
There's a lot of high power stuff in the new expansion. I think we're going to see some unpleasant decks in the few few weeks but after a nerf or two, things should settle down.
On the plus side, the feel of the expansion is lovely and the artwork is a real breath of fresh air. I have a good feeling about this one. (Post second nerf :) )
From the perspective of Wild? Aggro & Singleton Shadow Priest got a lot of love. Rogue got a few okay-ish midrange combo options. Shudderwock Shaman got more battlecries that will break things.
Rest of it is mostly fluff.
