It's not that the cards are -unbalanced-, it's that they're just no fun to play against. I'm not entirely sure what positive impact they thought the cards would bring.
That's a good observation. I tend to play Wild, where the impact of new sets is much reduced. In the majority of cases, there are tech cards available. *gazes fondly at Hex, Plague of Murlocs and Devolve*
In terms of full disclosure, my first post on this site was me complaining about C'Thun, before I learned how to play against it. I'm definitely Mr Glass House in this situation. :)
Just so I'm clear... you get two cards in your hard which preview the top card of your deck. They then become that card when you draw it?
So... if the top card of your deck isn't useful, you get two useless cards when you draw? If I'm right about that, then in itself, this card needs support around it in order to be good. As a top deck, it's rubbish.

Hooray! Pay to win! Always a popular move.
*shrugs* It just feels like the heart has gone out of the game, you know?

This is how it always goes. No panics.

For the moment your best bet is to make any deck with him in it. Then remove him.

If you can get to turn 8, yes.

Meh. Nothing in this expansion is really grabbing me yet. It's early days, though.

Hmm, perhaps they should've treated their testers better?

Did anyone else get a lot of golds / signaturesin their Perils packs?
Normally I'd be delighted with my haul but instead I'm just suspicious. It feels like a bribe...

This kind of message is posted, regular as clockwork, after each expansion.
The response is always the same: "The meta is brand new. Give it a week or so to settle down."

Ah, I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out. That is ... interesting.
I can think of a lot of archetypes that would use that. Here's hoping we don't see an uptick in Astral Automaton decks...
