Congrats! It took me quite a long time too to finally hit legend.
I am playing Hearthstone since 2014 and managed to finally hit Legend right after the release of UiS.
In August I was not able to get past Diamond 2 with Warlock and in September the class took me to Diamond 9 or 8. I played until I started to hate the game and gave swear words as names to new decks I tried.
Then I somehow got lucky, opened the new Hunter quest and the rest is history...^^
isnt Wild kinda mediocre? always been or everything is
I think that a player that is not able to understand that in wild, considering the far most variety of cards, it is a format a lot more difficult, it is mediocre.
It just requires a vast collection of cards and, thereby, being a whale. Or a nolifer. Or a nolifer whale.
First time standard legend whale out.
I don't agree at all. Wild is much harder than standard.
Standard is very easy because you can "play around". In wild you need much more skill because it is much harder to "play around" and you need to be good with your deck.
I think that most of the people that believe that wild is easier is because they don't have the collection to play wild.
And also I don't understand why people like you are so arrogant with these comments.
There is a person happy for his goal, why have we to read a dumb comment like yours: That you are saying that legend in wild is for nolifer. Who cares about this garbage that you think.
The difference with the Wild is that there are fewer people playing, but the decks are super fun... every combo and situation we encounter.I caught legend there because I've been a regular player of this mode since Old Gods.
In Standard I'm D4, and I'll try to take your advice and tryhard the legend in that format, this month or next season.
Congratulations! And you hit it in a real mans format, don’t listen to these standard haters they jealous of your accomplishment my friend :)
Whoa, no need to attack my fragile masculinity there, friend.
I haven't tried to hit legend in wild mostly because I started HS relatively recently and my collection is lacking. Most of the good decks require a great number of legendaries that I don't have.
Wild is a scary place where druids can have billions of armor and shamans can hold you hostage. Warriors, rogues and hunters can overwhelm your face before you have a chance to do anything and sometimes a priest can just be the biggest jerk. I have much respect for people who play and do well in wild - but let's not fight over what format is better because I feel it's not always easy for a newer player to get into it unless they really know what they want to play and have the dust to craft the cards for it.

Well, it seems that you care, because you took your time to post such a elaborate comment on it.
I really appreciate that. Thank you.
But I have to say that the crown for the dumbest post goes to a person who assumed that the wild is 'more difficult' when, in fact, it is not.
You overestimate 'variability' in wild. It's the same netdecking as in standard, just more expensive for a new player.
And one can't reliably 'play around' in standard because there are currently at least 2 decks per playable class with quite different playstyles. You would have known it if you were able to rise your eyes to the sky the standard is.
Standard is a watered down version of the true game of Hearthstone found in Wild. Standard is bathed in RNG for noobs so they have “fun” with other casuals, that is why competitive Esports of Standard viewership has gone down so drastically over the past few years. Fans of the game recognize the Standard format is not a true representation of Hearthstone skill. It’s amazing that Standard mains who say Wild players are nolifer Whales and criticize the accomplishment of a 1st time legend achievement by saying the format is sub prime when in reality they are just jealous of the complete experience the Standard format lacks. Haters going to hate!

People talking about skill in a game a dead cat on the side of the road could play. You people are funny.
And congrats getting to legend with a deck that requires an IQ of -45. What's next, you're going to pat yourself on the back for tying your fucking shoes?
Finally Legend.
After 5 years of playing, I took courage and decided to get out of diamond 5's mediocrity and tried the legend.
Pirate Quest to D1
EvenRenoLock D1 to Legend (Insane Games, I appealed because I hate Warlock)
I just wanted to share this with you!!
Congrats!!

Sadly, just a casual wild mode. Try standard next
Congrats buddy!

Congrats! well done.
Wild is great,
I highly recommend to try "double legend" standard + Wild after the miniset (or new expansion) release.
Also classic format is great too (miracle Rogue!)
well done. gratz

Congrats to OP, also. :)

This thread turned into a competition about who has a bigger dick (Standard or Wild players) pretty fast. Damn...
