"We don't want you to interact with each other in this game, play by yourself and ignore what your opponent is doing completely! Whoever shoots each other enough times first, wins!"
It's just unfun to play against. You try to make a board: It's always frozen. Their hand have 3 cards? No problem, let's draw 4 cards with with 1 only card which will draw discounted spells and more cards in order to draw even more. Taunts? Who cares, all their damage can go face. Fatigue? Meh, Infinite value with 1 spell...
The Quests are a disaster, way too easy to complete for what they offer. The Rewards are just insane.
I mean, Mage just plays spells and get +3 Spelldamage turn 6 the whole fucking game, thats just broken. MAge OTK's you turn 8-9, there is nothing you can do.
Been burning through mage with Evolve Shaman. You get big threats on the board faster than they can complete their quest. If they do manage to complete it, they are forced to throw their burn at your minions instead of at your face.
That being said, I'm pretty tired of the "game over by turn 8" meta. Everything is a race now. There isn't going to be room in this expansion for control decks since we have these no-minion decks that there is no way to "control". One dimensional metas are super boring.
I think the problem with this deck is the amazing mana cheating with Incanter's Flow and Refreshing Spring Water. Some games they cast 3-4 Incanter's Flow in a single game, then play like 10 cards in every turn with reduced costs.

That's called fun!
:(
I've been having a tough time popping divine shield with prismatic jeweler kit thing because no minions to hit lol
This expansion was the first one in the past couple years where I didn't get a preorder bundle and honestly, the quests were a big reason for it. I saw way too much potential for quick, one-sided, super aggressive matches and it just didn't appeal to me. I'll happily do my daily quests with whatever decks I can cobble together and just wait until things normalize a bit.
I agree with you 100% the quest is just way too easy to pull off and has way too much impact, dealing with the 7/7 alone as me using all my Mana never mind my opponent's response next turn.
if you want to make those pesky quest mages cry, play quest druid.
And play fluffy Guff, the Tree Hugger Bro, who will hurt you only if you DARE TO STAND IN THE WAY OF NATURE AND KILL THAT FLY SITTING ON YOUR KEYBOARD !!!!
lol i beat them pretty consistently with quest warlock. Play the combo version with darkglare/stealer/matron + free admission and you can just complete quest and kill a turn or so before them.
You can beat a lot of bad players by using Mutanus the Devourer on their reward if they don't play it the same turn they complete the questline. I even managed to use Star Student Stelina to shuffle Arcanist back into the deck on my Fel DH xD
This is freaking hell. It's just ridiculous. In the previous meta no minion mage was wrecking everyone with burst and now blizzard decides "oh well, everyone seems to like losing to mages, so let's just alleviate their suffering through making mages even more fucking annoying". I seem to be so done with this game...
You've solved the lifelong mystery of HS!

My first two matches of the expansion pretty fun, now it is just mage, mage and oh another mage - please I don't want the game to be called Magestone

Poison Rogue is definitely the way to go in killing Quest Mage, turns out its a pretty well favored deck against a LOT of the meta right now...

Yeah, mage quest is cancer, but warlock and rogue/hunter quests are broken as hell too.

Made my own Big fel DH and i have crushed every quest mage i have met. (10+ atm, bronze to dia 5+)

Honestly, pure Spell Mage without the quest is better because you don't have to put those bad frost spells into your deck.

Im the only one who thinks miracle (retarded) rogue is even more unfair than mage?

That's the problem though. Quest mage and warlock can easily complete quest and play the quest minion on the same turn
