LoL I swear to God, the jokes comparing Wild players to vegans and/or cross-fitters write themselves.
I've never heard one of those jokes, can you tell us one? lol
There really isn't anything to tell. OP made a generic post which didn't ask for any advice or guidance, or what game mode they should jump into and Mr. Baba took it upon him/herself to let the world know they play Wild for seemingly no reason other than letting the world know.
so the simplest joke would be, "how do you know someone plays Wild in Hearthstone? Wait 5 seconds and they will tell you".
Not going to speak for him, but I assumed he said that because OP owns more wild cards than standard at this point. It's purely a matter of trying to minimize the amount of money OP would have to spend to get back into the game. I think he was just trying to be helpful.
last time when i played was in AoO expansion (when DH comes out) , i was stopped and now after feeling healthy and well mentally i decide to selfdestruct and come back to HS <3 xD

Blizzard's greed unleashed, that's all
What's an example of their greed? Asking for a friend.
Because they are handing out more gold than ever with the Rewards Track? Because they give every player a full set of Core cards so newbies and freeps can more fully participate in the game? Such greed.
I shouldn't answer to the fanboys’ provocations, but hey, whatever it takes to expose their stupidity and sectarianism...
OBVIOUSLY, a company or business has the right and the obligation to obtain economic benefits for its services, we are not talking about a charitable organization after all.
The problem arises when creating a quality product is no longer the priority, but getting as much economic profit as possible becomes the main motivation.
When the ways to monetize the game and obtain profits do not stop increasing exponentially while the quality of the game leaves more and more to be desired... there is an obvious problem: pure greed (a situation radically different from a few years ago).
When instead of concentrating on a single game mode and improving and developing it to satisfy their customers, they dedicate themselves to creating more and more additional game modes with the sole intention of catching more people (and their money) ... that shows that they are desperate to increase their profits.
And no, let's not be delusional: the Reward Track for instance was created with the intention of monetizing the game even more, let's not kid ourselves: it is useless to have more gold if the options to spend it have been multiplied by a thousand (the real value of gold has been devalued).
Another example: Core set is a loan ... it has been loaned to us for a year so that we believe that it belongs to us, but then, if we want to own it for real, we will have to spend resources on getting something what we already "had".
It is all a whole system to trap people and tempt them to spend more and more. Blizzard's greed is rampant, they don't know what else to do to try to earn more money.
Finally, to reflect on all this, you can check by yourselves how the frequency with which new bundles or products appear in the shop has increased exponentially in recent times ... they do not stop selling us things, the store is overflowing.

Blizzard greed is real, but you have made some bad points.
More game modes are good for the game. The first new game mode they have released was tavern brawl. And its not monetized at all, its actually giving us free packs every week. The second new game mode was battlegrounds. In one of the latest Hearthstone Mathematics videos there is clear evidence that battlegrounds makes very little money to Blizz and its one of the most popular game modes. Obviously they try to change that by adding cosmetics, but it wont matter to casual players. There is also duels, which I enjoy a lot, but its not for everyone, and its not very F2P friendly, but some old players with big collection like me do like the format.
About gold devaluation: Its just not true. The option to get cosmetics from ingame currency doesnt make the game more expensive. Its just a bonus for F2P players. Not just for them, its actually good for everyone.
About Core set is a loan: Usually a loan is something you have to pay back. If standard is your main game mode (like a very big percent of the playerbase) then the Core set is free for you. You dont have to pay anything for it. We still dont have confirmation on how to get cards like Taelan Fordring in 2022 for wild, and I assume we will have to pay 1600 dust for it, but its fine IMO.
Conclusion: So yeah, its a greedy company and we see more bundles than ever but no one forces you to buy them. The cost of the game is still very high if you want a good collection. On the other hand there was a dude who made it to legend in 15 hours with a fresh F2P account. So I think that the game should be cheaper but most of your points are invalid. More game modes are good, getting cosmetics with gold are good and the core set is awesome.
Hearthstone is basically gambling these days. YOu can lose the game on the spot so many ways now its ridiculous. Forget about old school control and playing around cards cuz most decks can all do broken stuff and there are a ton of discovers in the game.
On a positive note, every class has a decent deck, and most have really good ones, with a few having 3 or more archetypes!!!
Very good time to start playing if you dont mind the RNG/OP design philosophy the dev's have implemented.
HS always had this element, but now it is over the top and everywhere. Probably to keep players playing from the dopamine hits these OP/RNG plays create. Legit science behind it too. Same as with social media and the "like "button etc...so be forewarned you will be dazzled, amazed, and awed, heck even rewarded too!
All designed to keep the average 3 second attention span young adult hooked!! LOL
I politely disagree. It is an undeniable fact that who wants too much doesn't catch anything, or in other words, Blizzard should not bite off more than they can chew. Let me explain.
It is obvious that if they divide their resources to cover more and more different game modes, the quality will inevitably suffer (after all, their resources are not infinite), and to top it off, the playerbase is also being segregated as a consequence, which is disastrous for a multiplayer game (see for yourself how most of the streamers are barely playing the main mode of the game).
In addition, when Blizzard keeps adding new game modes, they really only think about increasing their potential customers and thereby increasing their profits (with the consequent ways to monetize those new modes). Pure greed.
Honestly, I would rather they stop adding new game modes that NOTHING have to do with a collectable card game (which is the main premise of Hearthstone, I have to remind you) and instead they dedicate themselves to perfecting and polishing the many problems the main game mode has.
About gold devaluation: Its just not true. The option to get cosmetics from ingame currency doesnt make the game more expensive. Its just a bonus for F2P players. Not just for them, its actually good for everyone.
As for this point, I was referring to the fact that it is a chimera to think that Blizzard has become very generous because it "seems" that we get more gold than before ... it is all a smokescreen.
The real goal of the Reward Track was to monetize the new XP-based system, not to increase our free income. In fact, it was only after a monumental public outcry and fiery mobilizations and accusations against Blizzard that we recovered the free resources that were stolen from us with this new system.
It is possible that we get more gold (in exchange for investing even more time in the game) but nevertheless the possibilities of spending it have increased even more so, which inevitably makes it devalues (it is pure market economy).
I will try to explain it: I am not saying that the game is more expensive as a result of having more places to spend our gold (either in cosmetics or gold sinks for example) but that its value is devalued as long as you can do more and more things with him.
An example: you get more gold, okay, but suddenly some cosmetics appear that really make you drool, what are you going to do? Spend your gold on those suggestive cosmetics? Or maybe buy the packs you need? Blizzard wants you to spend your gold on whatever, as long as sooner or later you have to spend real money to get what you didn't buy with gold.
Leaving aside whether we have more gold or not, the reality is that the real cost of the game is astronomical: you can spend several hundred dollars a year and still not have the complete collection (which is what the game is about). Not even other games in the same category are that expensive, which shows Blizzard's greed.
Well in my case I am a wild player so maybe my point of view is not the same. In any case, by "loan" I mean that Blizzard has once again fooled us with another smokescreen.
It could seem that Blizzard is magnanimous and super generous in giving us an entire set at no cost, but in reality it is a vile deception. It is very cruel to give someone a gift, and when they are used to it and they like it, take it from them and tell them that if they want to have it again they will have to pay for it. Where is the magnanimity? What about the generosity?
It is useless a whole set is gifted to us if in a year it will expire and will disappear from our collection, having to spend resources to regain something we already had (remember that the main objective of a collectibles game is to get the complete collection).
The only way that Blizzard would prove not to be a greedy rat is that instead of lending us the set, they give it to us permanently forever. But I think that's not going to happen, I have the intuition that Blizzard's greed really has no limits.

As far as I know there are different teams in Team 5 for battlegrounds, duels and ranked. Battlegrounds is getting constantly new content and updates, duels is also getting frequent balance changes. Ranked modes (both standard and wild) are getting more balance changes than ever. I agree that too many game modes could be a problem, but I dont think we are there yet, and the devs said that after releasing mercenaries they dont plan adding any other game mode.

It is proven that the new reward track is better than the old system. Let me quote someone who said it well:
Blizzard just deliberately shifted to a new way of monetizing the game. They;d rather get $20 dollars on the reward track pass from a very great amount of people than $50 dollars from a far smaller group on preorders. And the Reward track pass is a great deal. It pays for itself in extra gold and then you get all the cosmetics and other stuff on top of it.
And then there's the engagement. If people are more engaged with your game, day to day and week to week, they are far more likely to spend actual money on it.
Blizzard just switched to a better way of getting money out of their game, and in return are more than happy to give away more free stuff, since it only helps to create a system where people are mroe engaged with the game and more likely to spend on it.
About spending gold on cosmetics: When I see a juicy cosmetic that I can buy with gold, Im asking myself if I can afford it. So I bought the Sylvanas skin and the C'Thun cardback. I also want the Medivh skin and some others but I know that I currently cant afford them. Its still nice that I can get them later without paying real money. Since I get more gold with the rewards track, I know I will be able to buy them in the future. And I dont spend more money on packs because of this option.

Im also a wild player but we are the minority. For the majority the core set is completely free.
90% of the core set are previously released cards. If they would give them to us for free we could have a complete collection in some years without opening a single pack. That would be a very bad economical decision for Blizz.
Maybe we will have to craft cards like Taelan next year, but we will also get some new toys for free to experiment with. For example I have tried Cutelock with Ritual of Doom. It was a really fun experience, when I got the god hand it was unstoppable, but it wasnt that consistent so I have deleted the deck. So I have loaned the card but I dont have to craft it if I dont want to. IMO its a great system.
I might sound like a fanboy, but I agree that the game still costs way too much for people who want a decent collection. But I also think that the game is getting better, more affordable and in general its going in to a good direction. F2P players are getting more resources than ever and whales can buy more cosmetics than ever. We can call this greed but for the average player its getting easier to get more cards to play with.
Nefiret gets it. There is a reason blizzard has increased it's revenue despite their declining player base. They have shifted to a strategy of milking their existing player base for more and more money rather than trying to improve their games or attract new players.
Just take a look at the construction of Duels to get a real picture of what blizzard is about these days.

BTW, I play wild. (Sorry, had to say that!!)
Its not fun anymore, only annoying mechanics to play against, they killed the game.
It is still possible to play face hunter, so for me, not much have changed.
