Edwin has been the best classic card for like 2 years now? He was also sick in galakrond rouge and was played in about every second rouge deck since day 1 of hearthstone. Foxy fraud is a sick card, true! But rouge haven't had proper combo synergy before now. I think it's only spirit of the shark that was actually played a bit, to synergize with the combo key word, otherwise combo have meant "oh it's not actually a battle cry..." since day one really. Now rouge finally has a solid combo synergy, whirlkick master is playable after being a dead epic card for 16 months and Edwin is now about as strong with foxy as he was before without it. Soon he's gonna rotate and be un-nerfed, which I think most old players will approve of.
BTW: I only think that rouges have become harder to beat, now that I can't kill them with three removal/silence/transform cards. Starting with coerce was just an auto win against one trick rouge. Whirlkick and stealth rouges are much trickier to play around IMO
If you want to nerf 3 cards (counting Foxy) only because it's broken in combination with a single card, then this card is definetely a problem as it prevents other cards being printed.
Edwin was fine, you big baby. In a class that traditionally has no big threats, he was the lone big threat class card, and even then he was situational and conditional and needed a lot of resources pumped in to him... and even THEN a single target removal or silence royally fucked him up.
Prep already got nerfed. Do you just want them to HOF it, since you're still tilted over it? Shadowstep is one of the lone bright spots in the Rogue standard set that allows them to compete against classes that can do much bigger, much more broken things.
Relax guys, just wait three months. After that lackeys will rotate and thus, combo potential will decrease. On the other hand Edwin and other basic and classic set cards will also rotate.
I know that what I’m going to recommend is hard to do nowadays but... be patient.
edwin deserved a nerf, prep is already nerfed, foxy is a really good card, but shows how some evergreen cards limit a lot the desing space making impsible to print good card without breaking the game. and shadow step is fine as a card, some times tilting, yeah, but its not "nerf required" power level
I think Shadowstep, Foxy Fraud and Preparation being good cards, all of which encourage different styles of play and combo nicely with other rogue cards is better than VanCleef being a good card. If something had to get nerfed, I'm glad it was VanCleef. They can replace him with other big threat legendaries that are more fair (for both the rogue player and the opponent).
Preparation was nerfed, before the card reduces the cost of next spell by 3 manas.
I always hate the card, not because is bad but because the card cursed the class for years with overcosted spells in expansions with Preparation in mind, for me the card should be HoFed instead of nerfed.
Shadow step is such a rouge defining card. It hasn't even been as overplayed as Edwin and if you ruin the card, you might as well call it demon hunter light. Bouncing minions and combo synergy is the core of rouge. I don't even think that rouge is that hard to beat and for some reason I don't run into them that often anymore... Just play warrior and fuck em hard!

As long as these two cards are not nerfed, rogue will always be a unbalanced
dis
prep is nerfed..
These have been fine for a while.
Foxy Fraud made it so much worse. It should only reduce cost by 1 imo
Only Foxy Fraud? And Prize Plunderer? The problem is those classic cards because as soon as they come up with some new synergy they get out of control
lackeys are the problem
cant for them to leave Stansard
