Bahaha, this thread sums up SOOO much about this community.
"This site has provided me with an insane amount of useful resources and information for years. Now they would like some compensation to reimburse them for all of the money and time they have put into the site, so we should... (find another site, boycott them, etc.)"
So pathetic. Probably be the first people to force a union on a company, and/or strike if a company couldn't afford raises.
I want everything, but I shouldn't have to do anything for it!
Honestly, I'm happy about this. Services like HSReplay are a big part of why metas get solved so quick nowadays. It's very easy to determine the best thing when there's a website that just tells us what it is within a day. Less people using it = less data = harder to draw conclusions = more time to experiment.

This. Give some people the world, they're gonna ask for the universe. Ask them to contribute, the'll start complaining about what they have been given...
I've always believed and still believe that you could/should not complain for something given to you for free. Only paying customers can complain about the service not being up to the standards they're paying for...

So much ignorance on these two posts... It's ridiculous and almost shocking, and I'm not overreacting. :( Seriously, did you never heard about publicity, guys? Do you seriously believe people working at HSReplay.net do something for free?
Some people here live under a rock, there is no doubt about it.

No, I believe the market decides the value of a product, and if a product has value, you should be entitled to earn it's value. It's what drives progression.
Somehow our comments are ignorant, but the entitled screaming children who cry anytime someone takes away/changes their free toys are okay? Interesting.
I actually just reviewed HS Replay, and their Hearthsim company, and yes. I am now quite confident they have survived on outside work, and perhaps small investments. They've poured a lot of work into it, and deserve to profit for that work. I'm sure you have some wild conspiracy theory on the millions they've profited off the sweat of gamers backs, but do us a favour, and save the Marxist crap for your co-OP gatherings.
They created a highly popular system, and spend years refining it, offering it to the public absolutely free. Alot of it's functions remain free. But, that's not good enough. People seem to feel their entitled to whatever they want, when they want it.
Hearthstone, and all attributes therein are a LUXURY. No one has any right to play this game, or use any outside tools related to it.
If so many people find it to be a irreplaceable tool. Why would they not charge money for it? They're not producing lifesaving drugs, and charging billions. They made software, and are asking CUSTOMERS for $5 a month to fully benefit.

Give me a break.
First, I don't have any wild conspirance theory. I'm not sure how you jump those silly conclusions, really... Also, Karl Marx was a f..king idiot, so please, don't mention him again. Thank you!
Second, they don't offer anything for free to the public, why can't you understand that? Obviously, they make a lot of money from ads. People have been helping them with that through all these years, simply by visiting their site and/or using HSReplay deck tracker. They are not charity, they never have been.
And finally, people is free to boycott them, since they don't own anything to this site. And if they did, who cares? HSReplay.net can do nothing about it, and that is their problem, not ours. ;)

So you made the business model for their webpage/services and came to the conclusion that publicity alone would make it profitable.
Thanks so much for sharing. Please don't send me the details. I'm not interested in their business plans.

I think you're vastly overestimating how much revenue ads generate. Average websites that get 1000 views a day earn, on average 450 a month... I saw at least 6 staff members on their site listing. If they split everything evenly and had NO overhead. Ad revenue would generate $7.50 a month per worker for every 1000 visitors daily. They would need 100,000 site visitors DAILY to earn $750 a month.
1,000,000 visitors DAILY to earn a decent wage.
Again, minus overhead.
Keeping in mind HS replay likely wont be a lifelong career, they also need to generate revenue for future ventures...

And you are highly understimating the amount of people who play Hearthstone and visit HSReplay.net daily. But let's pretend that is 100% true on this case for a moment, you're still forgetting about all the people who already pay for their Premium services. The sum of both things (the publicity and the Premium services) and probably something else (maybe some kind of arrengement with Blizzard), should be enough for them. If not, well, as I said before, that's their problem, not ours. People is totally free to boycott them.
We must stop using the deck tracker and not provide data to them.
upvoted for perfect solution.
Yeah... It is time to destroy these assholes from HSReplay.net. They have been messing with Hearthstone for years, promoting and releasing all kinds of cancer on ladder shamelessly. To hell with all of them! F..king bastards... >:-(
I can’t tell if Sherman is a troll or just dumb...

I wish I had earned some money for being Hearthpwn's resident clown after all these years. Maybe I should demand some kind of payment from now on just like HSReplay.net, I don't know. XD

Ok man, I was trying to make you understand that I wasn't talking about business model (including publicity revenues) and don't have the slightest interest in discussing it with you (or anybody else here). It is their webpage/business and they should be allowed to do whatever they want with it. You don't like it. Nobody forces you to buy their products so just go away.
I just stated that we live in a spoiled brats world. So many people have so much to say about what they "deserve"... It's just boring... and you came back at me for being an idiot not knowing the economics of the internet... Really??? I just wasn't talking about that...

If you can afford 130 $ on Bundles then 5 $ is certainly a small Sacrifice for Success.
On the flip side if you need this service to play the game maybe you just need to get good lol
