So, now it's a 50/50 to get 60 or 50 for new quests and rerolls, and you can test your luck every day... :/
Stupid change. If 60g quests took too long for you or were too difficult to complete for whatever reason, you could always get a guaranteed 50. Why not have it work the other way around as well? Instead, if you want to do more difficult quests that reward a little more, you just get 2 coinflips per day. And so far, I lost that coinflip pretty darn often.
Guess the times of consistently getting 60g for your daily quest are over. Was fun while it lasted.
And with 50g Quests being almost impossible to not complete, you either have to swallow completing less rewarding quests, or complete quests in AFK mode, try not to win, and hope for the next day.
It's 50:50 now so you might get a 60 one, but it's going to be a pain trying not to complete a "play 25 cards" for 50 gold accidentally.
You'll just have to stop playing for that day and wait for a reroll on the next one. My question is, why is Blizzard trying to make our Hearthstone life more difficult?
I've been getting 50g quests all over the place. Has there been any confirmation on this ? or is it a bug ? anyone posted on the official blizzard forums ?

It became obvious to me less than 48hrs after the patch. I track my quests and I had hardly any 50g quests I needed to reroll from the point they released the "Play 3 x Class" quests.
Blizzard are full of spin and bullshit. First they say that you "don't need to buy packs anymore" to unlock the benefits in Battlegrounds (as if it was some kind of fn chore to do so) in a way to justify their gouging. Now they come up with some limp dicked response as to why they blew up the quests.
It's a real PITA to have to work quest management again. If it's just one 50g quest you're looking to avoid completing then it's not really economical to not play for 24hrs as you miss out of the paltry 3-win gold. Just 3 wins for the day and you're on parity with your 60g target and then you're free rolling. But as a principle, sure it's a great "fuck you" to Blizzard to have 24hr micro-protests.
why would they try to lose their player's trust in the expense of daily 10 gold worth gain for them
Greed?
Don't look at the individual - extrapolate that out across the player base. The "error" they made when implementing the Play 3 60g quests likely was worth $$ millions in equivalent revenue. These companies exist for profit first and foremost, and there are strategies for sneaking in subtle changes that most people don't even notice that have huge impacts on their bottom line.

yeah they did that for 2 years and the game almost went to nonexistence, I don't think they would make such dumb mistakes anymore. Let's see what is their explanation for this change :/
Ya, I’ve been getting the 50 gold ones too. Most of the time I can roll it into a 60 but I think something has changed... though I have no idea why Blizzard would do it.
Effectively when you get a 50g you reroll it - and have a 50% chance of getting a 60g. With a 50/50 split that means everyone now has a 25% chance to reroll any quest into a 60g quest. Of course 50% of the original quests you won't want to reroll (they're already 60g), but the odds aren't in our favour for sure!

My guess is that it's a case of they had no idea of the implication of adding the box full of 60g quests to the current system and they decided to try and sneak the change in when everyone was distracted with rotation funs. The timing smells fishy for sure. Not a new tactic by any means.
For the new and great things that they are bandstanding about you can find changes that essentially counter-act those changes that are being snuck in the back door.
So it would be unintentionally we received the 60G quests. I wouldn't even be surprised this is the case. Their level of professionalism never ceases to impress me... and I've been quite surprised to see the quest going progressively from 40G to 60G whilst the difficulty was being drastically lowered (remember having to win 5 games to get your 60G, I certainly do and some loss streak drove me mad when I was waiting for that 5th win)
Now they're calling difficult "playing 3 games with 3 possible classes" and easy "winning 2 games with any classes" (probably because they created DH...) and they would like us to believe they're kind to us not giving us the difficult quests all the time.
All in all, they just realized we did get too many (from their point of view) packs between 2 extensions and that we didn't have to buy as many bundles... but the change they made probably makes us loose less than 5G a day (with the 50/50 distribution and the reroll possibility, it's about 3.33G a day). The thing that isn't that nice is that, if you wanna maximize your gold income, you may have not to play on some days (not to trigger that 50G quest hoping to be able to reroll it on the next day).
Conclusion: we're loosing 1 pack a month if prepared not to play some days and around 1.5 if we wanna enjoy playing every day. That's out of a maximum of 18 packs. It isn't nice but it isn't a drastic change either...
Same exact experience here... Before the patch, it was almost always a 60g daily quest, and 50g only rerroling from a 60g. Now the 50g is being commonly offered as a daily too.
I still hate that they changed "win 3 games" quests to "play 3 quests" as I see so many people just afking these ones

Imagine being a 5 billion $ company
Thinking to yourself: "Hmmm.. I think we are not greedy enough yea lets cancel those 60 gold quests back to 50"
"Oh and lets NOT ANNOUNCE THIS CHANGE TO MAKE EVERYONE FREAK OUT AND RAGE!!!"
"Yea... That is a great idea wow we are blizzard we are soooooo smart and our card game is completely balanced!"
"No need to listen to a 100 million player-base community asking for a nerf on the mage's quest"
they did
After a slew of 50g quests the last few days, normal service resumed for me and I got a 60g and rerolled a 50g into another 60g
Anyone else seeing the same?

Ugh, same here. Only got 50g quests, even on reroll, for a few days.
This means 10g less a day, 300g = 3 Packs less a month. ;(
Terrible change by blizzard.

I completely missed this "explanation" on reddit : reddit explanation by Senior game designer HS Celestalon

guys it's pay to win game...it is very sad but true,it isn't designed for free to play players
