1. Viewers on Twitch don't mean anything, Warframe has almost nobody watching it yet it's consistently on the top 10 most played Steam games.
2. Hong Kong incident is bad but Blizzard won't do anything about it, because nobody is going to protest it (don't @ me with bLiZZcon ProTeSt, as soon as they announce Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 everyone will go back to being happy little sheep).
3. Meta's are stale because you make them stale, there are 9 classes with hundereds of cards per class, I think that's a lack of personal experimentation (I still play my Weasel Priest because it's fun).
4. And once Legends of Runeterra releases they'll just switch over to that. Everyone gets tired of playing the same stuff over and over again.
5. Not likely, they still make bank from the china market. Once China runs dry then yeah the game will go into standby.
6. If they bring out a major patch it won't be till next year, like the dev team have stated several times, they plan out these expansions 3 or 4 at a time. I personally believe we need the rest of the classes (Death Knight, Monk, Demon Hunter), the game's balance was never and will never be a top priority to Blizzard and it shouldn't be, if everything is equally strong or plays equally the same then what's the reason for multiple classes?
7. See 6 and no they won't learn from their previous mistakes.
My point here being that Hearthstone isn't slowly dying. It's freefalling, but not for the four reasons you listed. It's freefalling because Blizzard as a whole is dying (how fast depends on who you ask).
Remove Heroic Power from classes...allow only DK/Hero/villain/quest cards to give u a "Hero Power". Most cards that change hero power can be now give u a Hero power upgraded or not like Sr Finn 1 and 2 and Justicar. The major problem in this game are those Classes hero powers. it's just stupid in a card game to face a class that ping 1 damage in ur first minion or just create a weapon that last 2 turns and can be buffed or give u 2 armor/heal forever. A card game should only rely on cards, not on external forces that can't be countered like Ping, stupid hero power for several turns in cases like Priest and Warrior. If they want to keep hero power that they only come from cards and quests.
3. The meta's were extremely boring for the last 3-4 years.
Seriously, is this a joke or what? :/ I hope there is a good justification for such a statement...
I don't think you can even state that something is boring since boredom is extremely subjective. I find League of Legends boring but the millions of players still playing will likely disagree, same sentiment applies here.
Also hi Sherman, glad to see you keeping your profile and signature pictures on fire as always.
1. Hs used to have 30-40K viewers on twitch, it's now under 10k. 2. Hong Kong incident speaks for itself. 3. The meta's were extremely boring for the last 3-4 years. 4. Most of the streamers who used to play hs are now mtga, the competition is doing it better.
This means a few things can happen.
5. Hs will be cast away in the realm of forgotten games 6. Hs will have a major patch wich will change the core of the game (I personally believe 9 classes are too many because it is impossible to balance all 9 classes at the same time) 7. Hs 2.0 will come out, wich will show that the developers have learned from previous mistakes.
Discuss!
I agree. The meta is boring since 1 year and half for me. And it is a lot.
If EA, second only to Blizzard financially, can keep Ultima Online alive since like 1997 I’m sure Blizzard can do whatever it wants in regards to the game living or dying regardless of what anyone rights on any forum

I haven't heard of Ultima Online in years... that's the point.

Hehe, thank you very much, SneezingMeerkat!!! :D :D :D Nice to chat with you again, my friend!!! :) :) :)
I was trying to point out how strange and ridiculous is the fact Sebzero has been playing a game he finds boring for 3-4 years. I fully underestand my post wasn't totally clear for others, except maybe for Sebzero himself. My apologies for that, dude. ;)

It's not that subjective at all.
1. Hearthstone basicly only allows a few decks to be top tier. Result:You will frequently face the same decks over and over and over again over a very long period.
2. Most high performing decks since beta were aggro based. Result:The game was over before reaching turn 6.
These are facts, I didn't include the OTK and control decks wich were very boring imo too. Secondly, it's none of youre business what I do with my free time, if I want to play a boring game for 5 or maybe 10 years it's not your business. And personally nobody cares how you feel when someone tries to talk bad about the game you love and adore,.

I think the biggest problem Hearthstone has, is the players.
The players will always try to find the quickest way to win, and Hearthstone rewards does kind of players. Would love to see more early boardclears, taunts and healing. To push aggro decks out of this game. I personally love the 30 min games. Where the match isn't desided by the muligan.
Would also love to see a rotation on basic and classic cards.

Hearthstone will never die... It will be one of those games which people remember and maybe come back to play some.. It has created so many memories.. Good and bad... Its a classic.

I think it will be a long and slow death, Hs losing it's popularity is old news, but games like mtg arena and now Legend of runeterra are standing in the limelight. LoR looks imo alot like hearthstone only better. If Team5 doesn't act quick things could turn out real bad.

Oh, no!!! A ninja from the Lin Kuei clan doesn't care about my feelings!!! :( :( :(
C'mon, dude, is that a joke or what??? Seriously, who cares??? :/
Also, yeah, fun is subjective, and nothing you say will change that. Guess what??? Many people out there enjoy a lot playing aggro decks and like metas where you face the same decks all over again, so deal with it!!! ;)

Saying HS will die a "long and slow death" is exactly the same as saying it will enjoy a long life.
All games die eventually, so in saying it will take a long time for HS to die, you are basically acknowledging that it's not dying any faster than any other game would.
Honestly, I don't see myself enjoying Hearthstone much longer, and yes, it has a lot to do with mistakes they've made in the second half of this year. But I recognize that there are a lot of people who still enjoy HS and other Blizzard games, and I have no reason to believe those fans are going to leave. Hearthstone players have put up with terrible balance in the past, and they'll continue to do so in the future.
Plus, there's the effect of consumers who feel bad about leaving a game they've invested a lot of time and money in. That's a very powerful effect, and I think you might be surprised at how long it can keep a game going.
So even though I will move on, I don't project my feelings and motivations onto the millions and millions of total strangers who happen to be playing the same game as me.

Spoiler alert: we're all dying slowly
And the defenders and fervent fantoids continue to be in permanent denial...
Don't worry! I'm sure Hearthstone will thrive for a long time! Maybe it'll even be out on the Wii U in the future!
