To begin with I quit last december after playing every day since beta , mainly cause I got tired of playing the same type of decks for 4 or 5 years I don't even remember.
While looking at the new cards I noticed that yet again Paladin gets all the dude paladin cards. If you ask me this ruins the game for me , why are they unable to create fresh arch types , and why after 5 years or so are they still unable to create a solid control paladin archtype for example. And no i'm not talking about the boring tier 3 maby 2 versions we had in the past. The same can be said about most classes in this game.
Say what you want about Wallet Control Warrior , Patrion Warrior , Shudderwock Shaman , Highlander Priest , Cube Lock , Reno Lock , Jade Druid to name a few. Atleast they where fresh and original archtypes. I'm sick and tired of seeing Zoo Lock , Small Dude Paladin , Tempo Rogue/Miracle Rogue for 5 years straight , I expected allot more of this game when it first came out. Like Freeze shaman , if you want us to play freeze shaman wich is original in my eye's atleast push the archtype. While overpowered Wallet Control Warrior , Patron Warrior , Highlander priest and to a lesser extend Reno Lock where some of my favorite decks , They where original and required some thought , altough thats another debate.
There so stuck in this whole class identity thing its completely ridiculous if you ask me. Atleast the dk paladin combo deck was somewhat original and a control styled deck. Current control decks are boring as hell compared to the early day's not to mention Jade Druid and Combo decks completly destroyed the archtype in my eye's. In the past you could win 76% with some skill , these day's its all rock paper siscissors and you pretty much auto lose some matchups.
I saw Gaarra streaming about 6 months ago , mentioning that a skilled player that players 10 hours a day wins like 56% and a casual player that plays a few games a day wins 53% this sums it up for me really. Streaming is also pretty much dead all the big players moved on , some log in for views when i new expansion gets released.
Sure allot of people still play this game , and they make tons of money what its all about , but I expected allot more of this game when it got released , and they forced me to quit it , wich is a shame cause I really used to like it.
I'm not going to respond to any salty reactions , this is just my view of the game.
I'm not salty cause I quit the game 8 months ago , wich is the past i'm living today , just giving my view on the game. Apparently your not mature enough to give your own opinion on the matter.
The issue is that players will always play the same archetypes since they are stronger than some freeze shaman or control paladin. And that's why new archetypes are impossible as long as Blizzard won't make some totally overpowered cards that are cores of new archetypes.
I am still playing and ye alot of what you say is true. Most popular/famous streamers are abandoning the game and i think the rock paper scissor aspect chase them away. Lately dog one of by far the most popular players recently won lost of cash yet not even that entice him to stay. I myself also wonder why i play only reason is really mobile concenience. One can also really see the decline of people commeting on reddit etc. it is soon likely just a small niche game. If magic gets mobile id be gone so quickly
Actually i'm not salty at all , i'm just giving my view on things , maby you guys aren't mature enough to respect that , thats another story all together

I'm absolutely mature enough to respect the view from someone who hasn't played in a year. I wonder if the person who hasn't played in a year is mature enough to realize how little his perspective matters...since, ya know...he hasn't played in a year.
Would you like to know my position on Italian economics? I've never been to Italy, and I'm not an economist. But I have opinions.

I never said I havent played for a year I mist 2 expansions and I know every deck that is played I still check the news and look for things , your the salty one cause you havent given any constructive critisism. Please explain why you agree or disagree with my opnions. If your only here to troll theres no further need for me to respond. So far you haven't been mature what so ever.
"Dude" refers to Silver Hand synergies, right? Like Lost in the Jungle or Quartermaster?
Has there been a single Silver Hand synergy revealed this expansion?
Actually what I meant is that Paladin usually always get small minions for decks with small minions , I wasn't talking about Synergies or combo's what so ever

Fair enough , altough they keep supporting those archetypes with new cards aswell every year

But... like in Rise of Shadows it got Nozari, which is unmistakably a control card. It also got things like Duel to disrupt combos and hand buffing dragons. In Rumble it got 2 legendaries that work best with a longer game plan. Its spell in Boomsday and its mechs were defensive tools.
Yeah, there are more viable aggro things happening, but there are other archetypes happening on the conceptual side, so this is more about what lives in the meta than a lack of design support.
Returning in the topic, the game is in an unpleasing state right now.
Basically, the top decks are just overpowered and are not demanding for skills to beat the one from the other classes. If you just compare the cards of the top decks (this is true mainly for Hunter, Warrior, and Mage right now) and ones of the bottom classes, you can see that the number of "impacting" cards is unbalanced. For "impacting" cards I mean cards that can just give an instantaneous advantage like Zuljin, Dr.Boom, and the evocation pack ...such cards are just numerically superior and so the decks running them have a higher chance to have a good play each turn, and this is translated in a higher winning ratio. This is not something new in the game (Blizzard has never "balanced" the game, it just select periodically two or three classes to pump up and those classes are the ones that spare the higher ranks) but nowadays the gap is far too wide. Maybe this is due to the new rotation but the feeling is just...BAD.
The streamers are going to go where the money is, and TFT has more hype now. Other streamers that stick with Hearthstone will grow in viewers. Some of those will be back at expansion release, because of big viewers the first week with the meta unsettled.

That is a lot of words for "I'm salty!"
Always expect the unexpectable!

I don't play often, but I love the meme decks, they keep me in the game. I get to rank 5, then do tavern brawls and sometimes quests.
The goal of all life is death.
I applaud your fresh take on the game after having not played it for almost a year...oh wait...no I don't.
"I'm not salty, but here is why I'm mad from 8 months ago!" That's some serious salt, buddy.
^ This. I cannot take the OP serious when he doesnt even play the game.
