I predict that a massive rift will suddenly form between the F2P players and those of us who are quite happy to pay a fair price for this marvellous game.

Planning on opening 100 packs in the first hour personally.
Hopefully lessons were learned from the Naxxramas release. However, there are no PvE encounters this time around so that should smooth things out a bit.

Not planning on opening as many packs as you are, but I plan to open a lot!

It's nice to hear from you guys - forums are seemingly full of proud f2p players moaning about the inequity of it all. Those of us who are happy to pay good money for a great game are often a little shy about it on Hearthpwn.
For myself, I recognise that this game is massively enjoyable and takes a great deal of time and money to develop and implement. I have happily paid £40+ for very many other non-f2p games down the years and very few have given me the same number of hours of enjoyment as Hearthstone.
I have also played MtG for some 18 years and know only too well how much that costs!
Some people need to realise that games companies don't create f2p offerings as a charitable gesture. They do it because history has shown that, in the long run, it is more profitable than designing a game with significant financial barriers to entry. Hearthstone would be nowhere close to 20,000,000 registered players if the game couldn't be played for free. Through use of the f2p pricing style they have brought in huge swathes of players who have, once they came to know and love the game, invested plenty of cash in to it.
This is not evil, or greedy on Blizzard's behalf - it just gives everyone a chance to try the game out at zero cost, which suits both the players AND the game producers. The fact that, to be truly competitive, one needs to pay money is a natural consequence of the f2p business model. Without this, the game would make no money and hence wouldn't have ever seen the light of day.
Anyone who interprets the "Free To Play" statement as a promise that they can enjoy the whole experience to the same extent as players who understand and accept the business model is a little deluded...

I agree. People always post that you need to play arena and you will get a good collection for free. While it is true, but even if you are an arena grand master, you will need to play a lot to get all the cards and you will have much less time to play constructed. At the moment I enjoy constructed more than arena, but I understand that some people have the opposite preference. I think the arena part of the game can be played for free above a certain skill level.

Agreed - I barely played constructed during my first 3 months on Hearthstone, focusing instead on Arena to help develop my card collection.
6 months in, and I probably spend 2/3 of my play time in constructed, even though I am bordering on infinite in Arena.
I am certainly looking forward to the new Arena environment and the fact that the prizes will be far more valuable to me, in so far as every pack will add cards to my collection instead of just 99% dust. However, I am also keen to build my GvG collection asap and try to steal a march on constructed opponents with my own GvG creations.
The days and weeks following a new set release are very special times when netdecking is less of an option and a player's own deck design skills are far more important than they are in a mature meta.
Sadly, I predict that the store crashes, and doesn't become available again until the next day.
I also fear more store hijinks/snafus, ala what happened with Naxxramas.
Sincerely,
Negative Nancy.
Poetic.
I predict, that we will see totally new decks. :)
I definitely expect the store to crash. And there will probably be a DDOS just to make it that much more exciting.
Check out my motorcycle blog at ShiftHer.com ...or not.

I believe there will be more than 15 min. login time

"all seats are taken"
I predict that people will complain about X class and their degenerate Y strategy.
Anyhow, I am probably going to be playing long after the release because that is when the servers start to get stable.

I predict that Blizzard will make alot of money =P
My comments refer mostly to the wild format.
If WoD release and Nax is any indication, most people won't be able to play until 3-4 after launch.
I predict server issues and someone takes down the Hearthstone subreddit in protest.
Feel free to add me if you play on NA! iMPose#1429
We will see increased play of Nozdormu in order to cause players to make stupid decisions with new cards
Aha good one :)
RAW!
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
Pretty much. It's nice to have a job. 8)
