Was disappointed that Overkill was so similar to Trample, but wasn't exactly like Trample. Now we'll probably never get Trample because it would be too similar to Overkill... :/

If this is a thing, you don’t really need a separate keyword for trample... it is not about keyword it is about effect... also unfortunately in game where you can’t select blockers trample doesn’t work so well...
Overkill: Summon a minion with stats equal to excessive damage
Or something cool like:
Piercing Shot
6 mana Hunter Spell
Deal 10 damage to a minion. Overkill: Deal excessive damage to the minion on its right (note: the Overkill is a keyword like Lifesteal so if there s still excessive damage after the second hit, the process will repeat till there is no excessive damage left)

Overkill is not a hard condition to meet so I suspect the rewards aren't going to be too strong. Draw a card, modest heal or damage, etc. Overkill definitely won't be driving the meta, and will be like adapt was.
Overkill: "Add Reno Jackson to your hand" I wish xD I don't think Overkill will be a succesfull mechanic as it require you to kill something with some damage to spare. But maybe there will be some neat cards out there - especially if they have rush or are a damaging spell like Baited arrow.
Overkill: Restore 2 health among all friendly characters.
Overkill: Deal 1 damage to all enemies.

Mech with "Overkill: Adapt"?
A minion with rush and "Overkill, summon a copy of this minion" would be sick!! Even without Rush it'd be mighty interesting :D
Spell that gives your minions "Overkill, deal excess damage to enemy hero" wouldn't be impossible.. :P
Rogue minion with "Overkill: Add a copy of the killed minion's deathrattle to this minion"???

Your Overkills trigger twice.
Some posted on reddit and deleted a warrior card.

Deal 3 damage to a minion. Overkill: Destroy adjacent minions
Overkill: Priest and Mage get to be a tier 2 or better classes (like the rest of the classes). Just Kidding! :p

They again will make overpowered druid cards, this is exactly what overkill means.
Jokes aside. I'd like to see something like this: Overkill: add a copy of the killed minion to your hand.
You know what would be super interesting? If a minion was high value for the cost (or just plain over-statted) but had a negative Overkill effect.
