Just had the weirdest game experience ever, but I don't understand why/how this happened? Can anyone explain?
I was playing toggle druid against a tess rogue deck. They were winning! I was down to around 15 health, and they were at 30 plus an extra 28 armour (they discovered lots of armour gaining druid cards).
I azalined their hand after toggling, and discovered tons of random legendaries (from the echo card that adds a legendary to your hand), as well as Valeera and Tess, and a couple of shadowsteps.
I played Valeera to gain me an extra turn. They played their Tess, and then I played my Tess. As a druid, what I thought would happen is that it would replay the Valeera, and I'd then be able to shadowstep Tess back to my hand.
Nope. Tess replayed every single card that I had played all game as a druid! I regained all my armour, drew from my deck until I started burning cards. All minions were turned into treants, everything was swiped, my treants were boosted upto 6 attack - it was madness!
I'm not complaining as it won me the game, but why did Tess replay the cards from 'my class'? It was a complete surprise! The card says "Replay every card from another class you've played this game"?
Your class changes to Rogue when you play Valeera the Hollow, so Tess Greymane's effect applies to Druid cards (i.e. the cards of "another class"). You'll also see this if you steal class cards from someone who has played a hero card from another class - you start getting cards from the new class.
I didn't think about Valeera changing me into a rogue hero at all - I was just so relieved to have stealth for one turn and be able to breathe!
That makes sense though.
So basically, if you can transform into another hero before playing Tess, she replays every card you've played in the game - even if you started as rogue? Neat! :)
I play a ton of Tess rogue and this really surprised me the first time it happened after I stole an opposing DK. Personally, I don’t like that they made this interaction since you’re still a rogue (in terms of quest completion and recorded wins) and because it screws me over every once in awhile by replaying my Vanish but that’s how it works.

Ah - of course! Thanks for the heads up guys.
