K so as the title says I'm thinking about crafting/playing one of this deck and I would appreciate some advice from the players that have played with either or both.
Currently I have a little bit over 3.5k dust and I have every card for the said decks but the core legendaries, so Hadro and Oak for Druid and the quest, Sonya and Zola for Rogue... I obviously have enough dust for the Druid and would need to save an extra 1.3k for the Rogue but I want to make a wise an intelligent decision cause it's a pretty large amount of dust for either deck.
So I would like for you guys to help me pick, and please consider things like how fun over time are both decks but also how good against the general meta they are, I mean I know the basics, Quest Rogue is almost a guaranteed loss against anything aggro and pretty much an auto-win against everything slow and Taunt Druid is obviously good vs. aggro and has solid chance vs. slow decks due to the spooder and the revives. Neither of the decks feels like tier 1but they're good for sure and obviously seem OP if you hit a pocket meta of just good match-ups but in a "balanced" metagame which one is better, and by balanced I mean something like Even/Murloc Pally-Cube/controlock-Spiteful Druid and maybe Odd/Quest Rogue and some of those Tempo Vex Mages (Just a bit of everything that seems good up to this point) or whatever other type of metas you guys have seen. Which one of the 2 decks is the best and most objective decision atm?
This are the only 2 decks I'm considering as I leterally have everything else for the top tier decks (All Pallys, Locks, Druids and Rogues) and even some of the sub-par stuff like Warrior and Mage. Thanks in advance.
i have both. and i feel like quest rogue is better especially from rank 5 and up when u will face mostly cube locks. but if ur goal is just to hit rank 5 then craft taunt druid..because you will face more aggro decks at lower ranks.
With surrender list of quest rogue you can beat pallys(just play 2 fan of knives and use them wisely) and dont be afraid to play for board at the beggining . the worst matchup is hunter baku.
It's important to know that you don't need Oakheart for a viable taunt druid list. I think it's a more moderate approach, targeting a wider range of the meta. It would be my pick.
Quest rogue is very polarizing and therefore more suseptible to meta shifts: when the meta turns more aggro the deck falls off pretty hard, as long as control reigns it's a beast. On the taunt druid that's more nuanced. Quest rogue usually beats it, but it can take on both the paladins and the cubelocks. There are some hard counter cards though. Those are hex/polymorph/tinkmaster, because they turn a card in a beast, making witching hour 50% Hadronox instead of garanteed Hadronox. Still that means on average you can get about 2 full boards from Hadronox, enough to beat the aggro to midrange decks.
if the taunt druid will get very popular ppl will start teching against it and it will become pretty much useless. Quest rogue is the better bet. since warlock will keep aggro in check it will be better to make quest rogue
Once the meta is solved, I expect quest rogue to be back to tier4 like it was. Taunt druid is tier 3, spiteful druid is tier 1, go for that instead. Paladins and cubelocks also tier 1.
IMHO, Quest rogue is just a high roll deck. When it works, it works amazing. But when the cards don't come like you want, the deck is pure garbage, and will lose to a bot.

Quest Druid
Alternatively Taunt Rogue
You could also try tempo rogue if you want a tier 1 deck that is solid against aggro.

It depends on the Rank you're playing in, but taunt druid is not doing too well in legend because of too many terrible matchups.
Quest rogue is in a really good state, because Baku hunter is the only real aggro deck and not really played a lot.

Taunt druid is like taunt warrior, borring, passive and not that good...
At least quest rogue has an active playstyle.
There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !

I wanna glide down, over Mulholland
I wanna write her, name in the sky
I wanna free fall, out into nothin'
Gonna leave this, world for awhile
Quést Rogue impossible to tech against, and more fun to play
