Nerf Call to Arms to 5 mana, So it can't be played in even pala decklists with only 2-drops. Odd pala won't play it cause they only get 1 drops. And at 5 mana it is still a good card but way more balanced.
How is it balanced if neither Even nor Odd pally would run it? Bullshit.
I've said this before. If you want to nerf CTA that bad, suggest they change the effect. Like only one 2 drop and two 1-drops. Messing around with the mana cost is unfair, because you'd kill an entire deck archetype. Now that we have Even and Odd decks, the rules have changed.

It just simply is too strong, even more so in Even decks, when you're always going to get 2 drops. It's draw 3 cards, and play 6 mana worth of stats for 4 mana. Even at '6' mana it would be fair.

Ever thought about playing a deck without Baku or Genn? No? Okay my fault obviously.
1x 2 Mana drop - 2x 1 mana drop // I assume you have nothing to do with programming at all? Moreover this should be nerf in your opinion? - while pulling Righteous Protector almost always...
We had that, it was called 'aggro' paladin and still pretty good. I expect it would still be good (just not as good as odd/even) would be.
I was thinking the same. Yesterday I beat this even paladin with my Shudderwock shaman but I had to use 5 AoEs!!!!! He would still refill is board somehow after each one. One AoE less and I would have lost. How crazy is that?

HOLD MY BEER. My CW have 2 reckless flurry, 2 Brawl, 1 Geddon, 1 whirlwhind use early and 1 combo with King mosh in turn 10. I also gain 4 armor per turn and play 5 taunt during the game. Yet I managed to win with 4 hp left and my opponent run out of card soon. That is batshiit crazy
I get your point but the issue is that Cubelock is antipopular so therr are classes with a high winrate that solely exist to prey on Cubelock (Quest Rogue) and people are teching against Cubelock because it is easier than teching against Paladin. If Blizzard nerfs Cubelock but leaves it strong enough to counter Paladin, it will lose popularity and the meta will reach anothet equilibrium
Something should and will be done. Worst meta ever for me. FWIW I’ve never complained about the meta.
Why you think meta is so bad? I mean, there is viable deck for almost every class. I think only fail is that Witchwood didnt changed in the way of cubelock and paladin dominating. But, theres much more to play. And obviously, there will always be some dominating decks but not because of hearthstone, its because of people playing it. If you pay 50 dollars for witchwood and play cubelock with 1 card from witchwood expansion, something is wrong with you :D (well not you concretely)
PS: Fact is i think they should remove "mana cheating" cards like Spitefull, Skull, Lackey and so. Thats not healthy at all.
You can counter them easily, the problem is that if you tech your deck against aggro that usually means you'll struggle against Cubelock/Taunt Druid. And if you tech against them you suffer vs Paladin and Quest Rogue.
If you nerf one card, a new card will stand in it's way, none of these classes are unbeatable, you just have to play around them. I honestly feel like this is one of the most balanced metas. there is always going to be that one deck, but don't let that ruin the game for you.
Somehow, after I complained about cubelocks (and to a lesser extent, even/odd paladins) incessantly for the past week or two... Yesterday in 8 games, I didn't face a single warlock or paladin. It was the weirdest thing. I think there were 2 spiteful druids and 2 taunt druids, then some other random things, but I think the meta is actually diversifying a lot. I know, it was one day, but maybe, just maybe I've finally hit the diversity that people talk about.
Sometimes I wonder if I should pay for the premium thing at hsreplay haha, just because I love analyzing stats n stuff (nerd alert). Does paladin dominate the legend ranks too? Does anyone know?
I'm playing mostly miracle rogue these days and I feel like I have a chance in every matchup (except taunt druid, too many taunts to get through). I can understand that paladin can dominate the lower ranks and skew the win percentages, since all aggro paladin variants are quite easy to play, and it can be extremely frustrating to play against for a "lesser skilled" player to deal with. I don't really have a problem with them any more. Maybe it's just because I've played against them 100 times so I know what they can and can't do any more, and maybe I'm better than I sometimes give myself credit for haha.

This is the meta which has insane control deck (cubelock, or to lesser extent taunt druid) , insane midrange deck( even paladin and spiteful deck) , insane aggro deck ( odd paladin odd rogue odd hunter) , insane combo deck (shaman and quest rogue). So you never play any deck without 1 or 2 very unfavoured matchup. Just accept that and focus custom your deck to pray on favour and even chance deck to climb rank.
instead of nerfing the current cards, just make other classes on the same power-level.
This is subjective for sure, but for me I have to disagree. I feel that having two Voidlords out by turn 6 is too much. I think resurrecting your board with Doomguards, Voidlords and Voidwalkers with Guldan is too powerful. I also feel that having 4/4 and a 12/12 on the board turn 5-6 is way too powerful (spitefrul decks) etc...
I actually think that in Witchwood they printed cards that scream for a healthy and balanced game! Cards like Houndmaster Shaw, Glass Knight and Darius Crowley are spectacularly powerful yet fair cards imo. If that would be the overral balance in the game I think we'd have more skill-involving games, where it's not just about drawing your best shit, but actually outplaying the opponent with clever trades and contesting the board.
If Team Five went the direction of increasing every classes' power level to match the hotness, the game would devolve into a draw fest, where the one who draws better will have a huge upperhand in winning the game. Of course drawing like god is a bonus always, but some means to climb back into the game after your getting behind should exist.
Stats aren't everything. Paladin has the highest stats in standard but for some reason I never feel too unhappy when I see one, regardless of the class I'm playing. The problem with pally stats is, no one is out to build a paladin counter because paladin isn't a problem. We want to beat quest rogue and decks like cubelock. We build our decks for that and paladin scrapes up the wins it can because the meta isn't focused on it. On paper, paladin is unbelievably good. In practice you will just barely get by a slightly higher than 50% winrate.
This week's Tavern Brawl just added a 4th format for Paladin to dominate. Wonder if Blizzard will jump in and indicate if something will be done, or at least change the name to Year of the Dude.
Paladin is powerful and omnipresent sure, but especially in the past couple days people are altering their decks to counter paladin HARD so I think we'll see their winrate fall closer to earth soon. I've seen some control warlocks with card choices that made it very clear the only thing they were thinking when making the deck was "fuck paladins".
It's actually funny more locks I face as otk velen are getting screwed over with guldan and lackey because they have two dreadlords now.

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

More cheap AOE/control tools for other classes? Personally I miss pint size, void ripper and and potion of madness
