As explained in video from Ben Brode, one of the motivations for ladder revamp was to help new people with facing "fair" opponents, and not so many long-time players with wider collection of cards (who have advantage in both experience and resources).
Here is feedback based on my personal view / habits: I deliberately stay low rank on ladder to have the quests / games completed as fast as possible, on days where I do not have more time to play HS. If I happen to play at the end of month, I try to climb a bit for the end of season rewards (usually between ranks 10 - 15, I'm not great). Unfortunately, after getting the achievement for Dungeon Runs, I do not play them anymore. I would love to, but whenever I have time for HS, I want to get rewards, so I go to ladder. This is (for me) because the biggest motivation is getting cards. Yea, I know, having fun is too, but to keep having fun in one expansion after the other, I need cards.
The negative side effect is, I am the undesired opponent for new players on low ranks. What would solve it ? If I could quest and farm gold from Dungeon Runs. I don't know the reasons why Dungeon Runs aren't rewarded, however I don't doubt there may be good ones (let me know in discussion). To me, it seems as win-win-win (me, new players, Blizzard) if I could get gold from DR. Single win on ladder is worth about 3.3 gold. For DR, there could be something that is even slightly less, but still would not make me feel like waste of time (speaking in terms of farming for new expansion) compared to playing ladder. Possibly something like 0/0/0/1/2/3/4/5 gold for consecutive win of single DR. In given example, for 6 wins in DR I would get 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 gold, for full 8 I would get 15. Doesn't seem as free farm fest, it still looks desirable, I will take it over ladder farm most of the time (some specific quests might be easier on ladder). Maybe there are better suggestions for reward structure (I have not followed forums much).
Summary : Revamping ladder without addressing the underlying motivation of undesirable behavior can only go as far. Easiest quick solution can be rewards from Dungeon Runs. Long-term solution needs additional / other changes to rewards ?
Hearthstone is a multi-player game. Therefore, Blizzard wants as many players queuing for games as possible.
If you can finish your quests easy-peasy in Dungeon mode, my guess is that a lot of people would do so (you would, I would as well, in particular with classes I dislike). But playing a dungoun run does not help Blizzard in any way to get what they want: Money. The player base is decreased and for Dungeon runs you don't need packs anyway.
So there is no way they will make all quests doable by plaqying the AI (presently there are 2 quests (win 7 games and win 5 dungeon bosses)+ "watch a friend" can be done against the AI) But getting a tiny amount of gold for a successful run would be okay I think.
I think the reason dungeon run wins aren't rewarded in the same way as play mode/arena is is because hte first few fights are way too easy. People could just farm those 3 wins over and over and get a boatload of gold. They could easily implement something different, like progression rewards where you get say (just as an example) 10 gold if you lose to the 6th boss, 20 gold if you lose to the 7th or 8th, 30 gold if you win. I completely agree that having the card back being the only reward for dungeon run is discouraging a lot of people from playing it once they finish and get the card back. I mean, it's still a fun game mode, but it's hard to justify spending time playing it if your goal is to make progress to getting better cards etc.

Well, I still enjoy deck building (although would enjoy more with complete set) and playing pvp when I have time for it. So DR rewards would not stop me from wanting more cards. If I say it hypothetically from the other side - if I am completely satisfied with DR gameplay and I'm not interested in pvp part, I can already play only DR as a single player game and I do not care about farm / getting new cards, whether DR gives me gold or not :)
Or here’s a novel idea. Rather than being a noob farming AH, you could just quickly do quests in casual or just ladder properly with a deck that fits the quests. Sandbagging and saying you can’t ladder with your collection smacks of laziness.
Dungeon runs don’t give gold or quests because they want to encourage PvP and farming single player mode would be too easy. They want to keep DR as a Fun only mode.

It was all about time efficiency, I did not say I can't rank up. While I do quests in ranked (instead of casual) I also farm the 10g per 3 win at the same time (time being the point and motivation). Also, farming ranked is shorter time on lower ranks (20) than on higher.
Here is a novel idea for you (as it seems) - read before you reply and throw compliments around, if you can't read or can't understand, ...

Don’t talk about people not reading posts when I don’t think you read mine.
I never said you couldn’t rank up either. Even so you did admit you aren’t a great player and only get to rank 10-15 at the end of a season. I suspect if you didn’t farm noobs and laddered properly, you are better than you think and could get to rank 5 for the golden epic and the gold anyway.
You openly admited to deliberately staying at low ranks to farm noobs. Which quite frankly is (IMO) prickish.
You can get the 3 wins reward in casual as well. But farming 3 wins after the quests even at rank 20 is highly inefficient way of getting gold. Which you would probably get almost as efficiently playing ladder properly. Better efficiency in getting gold and packs is learning to get better at arena. The quest is the most efficient way by a long way. My point being farming noobs isn’t really worth it.
The 10 gold for 3 wins is such a (deliberately) inefficient way of getting gold it shouldn’t be treated as a farmable option but it should be treated as a bonus for playing the game normally against other people. How much time do you waste getting a measly 100g for 30 wins when you could be doing something more fun or laddering in a meaningful way and probably still get most of the gold anyway?
Dungeon Run is meant as a fun only mode. Blizzard deliberately left rewards off it or at a minimum so people didnt feel they had to do it. If you like it, great play it. Having any farmable reward on a single player mode would be too easy to exploit.
You basically admit you would rather farm noobs for rewards than , play a mode for fun. Which begs the question, why play a game? Its clear to me you want rewards on Dungeon run not because its fun but because you want the easiest way to get rewards.
You talk about time efficiency, is that really how you have fun in a game? You play the modes based time efficiency and rewards? Or is time-efficiency just a euformism for laziness?

I wish they would reward the 3-wins gold in arena too
Top deck is cheat
5-gold issue wasn't big enough, let's add gold amounts that aren't even multiples of 5. Yeah no never.
Blizzard said the reason they don't give rewards for Dungeon Runs is so players don't feel obligated to have to login and do them every day.
