I do personally find grinding 5-1 at the end of the month easier than 15-5. Never hit legend, but have been close. Last month hit 3 full stars with 90%wr and didn't hit legend cause I didn't feel like playing on new years eve.
Thanks for the encouragement :) but I think it's time for me to stop the attempt. After My short trip to rank 1 I'm back to 5 zero stars now. Maybe I just try it again in a meta I enjoy a bit more..but warlocks and priests currently make me rage whenever I see them.
I was in your spot last month. I ended up taking Murloc Pally from 4 to Legend. On 12/30, I was Rank 1-1 and ready to put in some extra time to grind. Ended up going 5-0 right away. The adrenaline and excitement when the Priest said "Well Played" on turn 5 was amazing.
Take your time. Take breaks. You already know you can win with your deck. You can do it!
So after failing hard in January I'm back for more. With the ranked changes I got to 5 on 2. of march already. And now I'm already rank 3 on the doorstep to 2. I know the fall back to 5 lies probably ahead of me but this time I have a good feeling I can do it
i hit legend once after probbaly a dozen rank 5+ finishes before that and the best advise i can give you is probably the most obvious one:
Try to play well.
The moment you feel exhausted or tired or whatever, don't play ranked. Trying your best to handread, memorize every card played and figuring out your best percentages is what makes the difference between like a 52 and a 56 percent winrate. Only one lost game that you could have won if you played better is 2 stars difference!!!
It is also useful to regularly check out websites like this to know the current deck trends. Like this you are less likely to be taken offguard by a weird looking deck where you can't figure out their strategy immediatly.
Hi I'm hitting 5 quit regularly. For this month I want to try and get legend for the first time finally.
I'm currently at rank 7 full stars. Playing tempo mage and token druid depending on what the meta looks like on the day. Felt like a breeze to get there so far. But I'm full time working with a kid also.
So is it really horrible from 5 to legend?
Given I'll hopefully have like 20 days to get there if I hit 5 within the next few days.
Track your winrate stats. As long as it's above 50 % - you'll get there eventually! It's a grind, but as long as you stick to your guns, you can get there.
