Thanks for the encouragement :) but I think it's time for me to stop the attempt. After My short trip to rank 1 I'm back to 5 zero stars now. Maybe I just try it again in a meta I enjoy a bit more..but warlocks and priests currently make me rage whenever I see them.
I was in your spot last month. I ended up taking Murloc Pally from 4 to Legend. On 12/30, I was Rank 1-1 and ready to put in some extra time to grind. Ended up going 5-0 right away. The adrenaline and excitement when the Priest said "Well Played" on turn 5 was amazing.
Take your time. Take breaks. You already know you can win with your deck. You can do it!
So after failing hard in January I'm back for more. With the ranked changes I got to 5 on 2. of march already. And now I'm already rank 3 on the doorstep to 2. I know the fall back to 5 lies probably ahead of me but this time I have a good feeling I can do it
Rank 1 with 2 stars..so far not even one rank loss since I started this time. Gosh I feel the ladder anxiety rising.. only 4 more wins..it can't be that easy.
Edit: with rank loss I mean no bouncing back between ranks..of course I lost a few games here and there.

Calm down, do not stress too much, you still have more than 3 weeks of play ahead of you.
Don't play while tilted, don't give up, and you'll do it ;)
If you have a kid, you shouldn’t be wasting a couple hours a day to play video games.
Lol its not like I'm 24 gaming while my baby cries. Rather a game here and there from my phone. But it's true too much playtime is impossible for me. That's why I cancelled my run in January after falling back to 5 twice. I'm really happy with the ladder change..way more family friendly on high ranks.

These comments annoy me so much... Im 25, have 3 kids, a wife, 2 cats, a dog and a house. I support it all by myself (wife stays home), and i still find time to hit legend in the first couple weeks every season. Its quality over quantity. When you have a 65+% winrate, you dont have to spend hours everyday playing.
The elitism and sense of false self-pride from these legend players in these last few posts is palpable and a good showcase of the exact reason I avoid grinding to higher ranks in pvp style games anymore.
It's really sad and I just prefer to avoid these types of labeling players if I at all can.

After giving up and then not giving up I'm back were I was last time. Rank 1 one star.
5 more wins. Hopefully I can start my final push now.
Update: Not my final push after bouncing beetween rank 1 and 2 for about 2 hours I started losing stars in rank 2 and decided to stop there.
Gosh I just want it done..how do people even do it all the pressure and fear of falling even further?

Yes you can
I got Legend mostly with Murloc Paladin Before warleader nurf.
This deck was OP as hell.
For me it was my first and last grind to legend - got the cardback now I couldn't care less.
Playing mostly to 5 and buildidng decks and enjoying the game.
Grinding is not fun at all for me but, you know, it was a one time must reach thing,
Playing since 2014 the cardback must be in my possession ;-)
Update: I finally did it!!!
So how do I get that legend picture next tk my name. Do I get it by connecting to inkeeper or is it just an uploaded picture? :D
The only thing it truly takes to get to legend is time investment.
So the real question is, are you willing to sink about 45+ hours in a month to get a cardback and a title that will go away the next month?
