How did you get him to gain the Soulpriest anyways? I considered somehow using it to beat him, but instead just chose to steal the Bone Spikes so that they would damage him down enough
From the looks of his emote, it looks like Blizzard was well aware of this interaction going in. :)
Quite flavorful, as it seems like these boss's AI is just slightly smarter than old bosses. One game Marrowgar had his Windfury weapon, and attacked into my 28 attack Deathlord, then used HP, then second attack to kill the Deathlord, leaving him at 2 health, and me with an empty board. I just had to sit there and applaud the AI for recognizing he could do that, because I wasn't able to deal 2 damage the following turn.

Id say he somehow discovered Treachery
I didn't discover Treachery.
I honest to god do not remember how he got it.
I didn't give it to him directly.
OH!
THE FUNNEL CAKE MAN!
THAT'S HOW!
Undercity Huckster
Elaboration: He has Undercity Huckster in his deck. And he got Auchenai Soulpriest off of it.
And then played it.
And then used his hero power and K.O.d himself.

This is the greatest thing I have ever seen. Now I kinda want to run a priest deck with Kabal Courier and see if I can discover a treachery haha
This is pretty great. I love Marrowgar's reaction here, its nice that blizzard decided to reward this strategy.
He also kills himself if he gets an Embrace the Shadow (healing powers and spells do damage this turn).
And if you play Gorehowl against Saurfang he says "Impressive"
There's also an interaction if you play Archbishop Benedictus.
