I have heard from some, including I think Firebat in a recent ValueTown episode that over 40 packs were opened without a legendary. I have searched Hearthpwn, reddit and googled hearthstone pity timers and nothing recent came up.
Anyone know if any recent analysis has been done to reflect the pity timers for the current patched version of Hearthstone?
I believe there was a report where someone opened their pre-release 50 packs without opening a legendary. I cant remember exactly where that came up though but I remember someone mentioning it.
Since we all base this off statistics, may it be that the legendary-percentage rise by a lot after a certain number of opened packs, instead of a 100% chance after a certain amount?
Meh, it is just bad luck. I have got 4 Legs in 79 packs (saved some gold for Gods). Next day I got "Watch and learn" quest and got sick pack with 3 rares 1 of them golden and 2 Epics also 1 Golden.
Is it every 25 packs that you pay for? And not including your first free 13 packs? Just remember, as long as something is free you don't get to chose exactly what you get. They've gotta leave at least some RNG in this game.
duno if you commenting on mine, but I bought the 50 then had a ton of gold and the free 13 ... so a bit of a mix for me. Though I do remember pulling 2 legendaries in the 10 freebies (win 9 games in standard)

I thought I heard it was this. You are not guaranteed a legendary in 40, but your percentage at some point starts to go way up, so there is a VERY small chance of going past 40 without an orange....but it does happen
Has it ever been confirmed that you are guaranteed a legendary every 40 packs? Or is this simply an average? I know I've gone long stretches without a legendary, but then I'll get two in one pack, so I have to imagine the math averages out.

Why is everyone so certain about these pity timers? I mean, even if you buy a huge amount of packs and get atleast one legendary every 40 packs it could still all be rng, right? So, only because large tests suggest pity timers, doesn't mean they actually exist.
There is data that has proven it. A Reddit post from January. I don't feel like digging it up. From what people have been saying it may be different now.

Thats how pity timers work. 40 packs is supposed to be the point at which it reaches 100%. 39 packs I think i around 80%.

Friend of mine opened 60 packs without a legendary so you may very well be right.

No, but someone else did mention on the site only getting 1 in 80. Maybe they changed it? 45 or 50?
I have opened 25-30 WoToG packs so far. I'll let you know when i get there.

Weird, this was my luckiest time opening packs. I've got 5 legendary cards in ~60 packs.
I opened 75 packs on release and got one legendary.. Nat, the Darkfisher. So if I open 5 more I'll most likely get something not quite as awful?
Just adding my experience.
I went over 30 packs 3 times lately, but not more than 40.
I seriously doubt they changed anything... need that video for proof!

I recall hearing this elsewhere but I do not know where.
Can I reset pity timer on my current pack type by opening another one?
