definetely no leg for me this month - the task will be to get to rank 5 till the 10th when I will leave on vacation for the rest of the month ... as always a lot of midrange druid I suppose, other options include patron or secret pala ... I am really tired of this meta tbh, STANDARD PLEASE, SOON!!! (although I am not expecting it before mid april ....)
Unless the new HS updates roll out this season I'm not even interested in going for legend. Last season was so unenjoyable that I had to force myself just to reach Rank 5 for the gold epic reward. Combo Druid, Trap Pally and Zoo made up for more than 70% of my matchups last season and those 3 decks tend to smack down any decks that are fun, interesting or off meta. The "big 3" are so top tier, the distance between those 3 decks and all other decks is too vast. Only a few times in HS history has it been this much distance between top tier vs all other tiers (Miracle Rogue, UT Hunter and Patron are the only past instances this bad). So competitively, I'm on hiatus until the new changes.
Gonna climb with midrange shaman, sprinkled with a bit of combo drood and oil rogue as needed for the dailies. I hope to reach rank 5 early'ish to seriously gun for legend, but playing mostly an understrengthed deck I might not make it.
I don't mind the current meta, it was worse during the huntertaker craze imo. Still, I'm very much looking forward to the new format.

Had plenty of success Hightower with last month if you'd like to try that!
Still think one of Shaman's biggest woes is about consistency though. Especially with Zoo and Secret Pally being the two strongest decks right now, Lightning Storm is needed to somewhat clear Zoo, vs Paladin it's garbage though. Then there's Hex for Boom/Tirion which is useless against Zoo. FML

Yeah I have been closing in on Golden Shaman (about 400 wins) so I hope to hit that this season. I have given up on Midrange shaman this season though, there are too many zoos and pallys to get through so I end up playing aggro shaman. Not my favorite deck, but I find it pretty satisfying to just smash uthers face (and still hope not to hit any zoos...) I have been playing around with a control shaman too, but my win rate is not great yet.
As Far as getting to Legend I will be aiming for rank 5, if I hit that pretty early in the season then I may try and push to legend. Otherwise I may just mess around with some of the decks that will be most changed by standard (Patron/druid)

I do not have the Earth Ele's, so I play a slightly different decks, but centered around overload synergy as well. Secret Pally are okay, slightly easier than the now deceased midrange pallies, and zoos are not too dreadful either, I'll take them over renolocks any day.
The deck is way too fair compared to top tier decks, so you actually have to think and fight to win, but is is pretty satisfying to play, and games are generally fun, even against something as predictable as secret pally.
What are the best tips for various stages in the ladder? Aggro for early ranks, then change to midrange or control later on? What about the first few days of the seaon, what are the general strategies for navigating the early rush. How often do you adapt your deck to the meta
Play Patron before it's not available in standard.
But... you can still play your favorite decks in wild and still climb to legend and get card back.
I'm not sure if standard will come out mid month. If it does, your current rank mid season will prob transfer to WILD and you can start a new one in standard.
Haven't had a chance to play yet today, but going to try to push this month. I reached 4 last month which is the highest I've gotten. I'm going to try using decks that are in the top couple tiers but that I still find fun. I got burnt out on Secret paladin last month. I also finally installed a tracker and I'm going to try to more consistently take breaks when I feel like I'm about to tilt.
why is anyone even playing another season of this trash meta/ Im so confused as why they didnt just start standard and wild this month, makes no sense at all. waste of time for us to get comfortable with it. and im sure many would rather have standard start already so they can enjoy the game again
Going to push hard for first time Legend this season using a variation of Sigma's Max Impact Zoo. I've replaced the Argent Squires with Reliquary Seekers because I like the potential for +4/+4 (or +8/+8 if Brann is on the board).
I won't get to play a lot (been playing maybe an hour a day at most), especially since I'll be on a trip for an entire week, so I'll get to rank 10 as the past seasons, don't think I'll have enough time/ be motivated enough to make rank5.

I'll play some Malygos Rogue, Elise Priest and Elise Warrior to climb 'til rank 5. I'm not going to legend, this meta is pretty boring to me.

Raptor rogue and mid druid maybe , waiting for standard to craft freeze mage and some other decks .. :)

Probably gonna ladder with some combination of Secret Pally, Renolock, and Control Priest. I don't like playing Druid even though I have the list.
Also just got my last golden card to get a fully golden Secret Pally deck, so that's pretty awesome.
Im playing Control Hunter and Egg Hobgoblin Druid. I started playing Hunter just so i could Flare peoples secrets. The tears are delicious......
Ive never made it past rank 10 though.......
One last hurrah with mid range druid before they nerf it into the dumpster.

Hmmm I think I'm gonna go for top 50 this month.

Wont bother this month. The meta is trash. Too much "boom, wham, bam". Add to that all the broken shit GvG and Naxx brought us this isn't fun anymore.
They could have given us standard mode at least this season. Not like the game can be filled with more broken builds.
