A good dragon that offers dragon hunter two things it's severely lacking in: Some early game removal and card draw. Nothing fancy but a solid card that hopefully helps fix what dragon hunter is lacking.
An idea inspired by
Windshear Stormcaller
quite a bit. It has an insane condition that gives you an insane reward if you pull it off. In this case, summoning
Ysera
. That's very strong, but this requirement is very hard to pull off, requiring you to hold at least 4 other Dragons in your hand when you play this, meaning 5 in total. This is even harder when you consider that Hunters are lacking in card draw, and even dedicated Dragon decks often don't hold that many Dragons in hand. When you play Dragon Priest or any other Dragon deck, how often do you hold 4 Dragons in your hand?
Ysera
's Dream cards also have the Hunter card border, so I thought it was fitting.
Hunter only have a very small number of Dragon-ish cards, so this could be helpful to create a good start for the archetype. Works for minions in hand and deck!
Flavor:
"It's favorite "Heroes of the Storm" character is Cho'gall."
Amazing legendary minion to really get the whole theme started. It essentially encourages running high stat Dragons to buff your portal, but you have to mix those really huge cards with the rest of your deck well or you end up not being able to close out the game if the Nightmare Portal is killed. Also a great way to run Deathwing, just stuff him in your deck even if you don't want to draw him and let the magic begin.
Flavor:
Sometimes we all need a new coat of paint, even if is a screaming hellpaint from the Emerald Nightmare.
As it turns out, Dragons
LOVE
it when you kill 2/1 minions, which explains why so few
Black Whelp
s ever reach adulthood.
A great 1 drop for a Dragon Hunter, Witchwood Tracker allows you the chance to get a huge tempo swing early in the game with a 1-cost Dragon like
Carrion Drake
or
Emeriss
, while not taking a huge investment from you. The card is pretty easily countered by certain decks, since it can be killed on the opponents turn without any risk and only has 1 Health, but some aggressive decks may find themselves unable to play cards on their first turns, as this can trade into most 1 and 2 drops and give you a huge tempo swing, especially with a
Candleshot
to give you 1 extra damage on turn 2 to clear a card like
Voidwalker
.
Everyone knows that when Hunter lose control of the board it can be really hard for him to win the game, so i make a card that can provide a random spell (from 6) to regain control of the board or helps him to survive at eventual agressions:
And this are the the spells that "Dragon Knowledge" can add to your hand:
With this being for hunters, I wanted to evoke the idea that there is a bounty from a hunt. In this case, dragonscale. This is a hunter that works the hides of his fallen dragons to strengthen himself.
This card is themed after the Blue Dragonflight aligned Mage-Hunters in Dragonblight; they always seemed like very cool, Hunter-style NPCs, and even were accompanied by Runehounds. Meant for a Control-oriented deck, it allows the Hunter to get around harmful effects for more effective trading, deny persistent effects or Deathrattles, or, if put in a more aggressive deck, get around enemy Taunts. The token it summons is fairly weak, but needs to be traded with; it can't be pinged off without attacking it.

Be vewy, vewy quiet. She's hunting mages.
When played:
<sniffs deeply> "I smell magic in the air..."
When played: "come to me, my children"
When attacks: "rawrr!"
Don't mind me just passing by
Flavor text: "Always be yourself. Unless you can be a Dragon... Then always be a Dragon."

Similiar to Dinomancy in design but affects multiple dragons rather than a single beast.

I've never heard about Grievous Bite or Explosive Shot before!...Crushing Walls, Either !
I think I might have hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.
Many dragons practice breathing fire at a young age, they just need to be taught where to aim.
Don't ever ask this Old Dragon how many discussions he'd before, he gets quite melancholic when someone asks him about that.
The joke is you.
