It's not too strong or anything, it's actually pretty balanced (compare this to priest of the feast). Even when used with unleash, it's really good but not OP.
However, hunter doesn't need healing right now. In fact, if it got healing it would be OP thanks to call of the wild and the sticky deathrattle beasts. These cards will limit the design space for hunter for the next 2 years. Right now, blizzard doesn't want to give hunter card draw or healing, instead they want to give us deathrattle minions that "draw and play another minion immediately" to make up for the lack of card draw. That's also the main role of CotW.
If we want to see card draw and heals for hunter, we're gonna have to wait till those cards rotate out, otherwise hunter would be OP.
I believe every class deserves to have a "Healing Card." I mean, this game is based off the Warcraft series... Heroes were capable of earning Health Pots to heal their wounds so.... Why not have something like that in Hearthstone? But... with current meta, we don't need any healing for these lame ass, no skilled, "Attack the Face" decks.
It wouldn't be Op because Hunter still doesn't not have board clears or decent removals
And this card does not fit the aggresive archetype you're talking about. Also, Call of the Wild is much less strong from a reactive/defensive position, (while still being good)
Not all classes need to have good healing options. Hunter has always been about aggressive play. Leave good heals for priest and paladin so that every class has its identity.

Sadly I can't see what the card says.... what is it?

Wild Scavenger
5 mana 4/6
Whenever a beast dies, restore 3 health to your hero.
Should be "friendly beast" and only heal for 1 per.
Hunters with this much healing would be nearly unstoppable, especially when you're basically always on a clock against them because of that hero power and aggressive nature.
"May be overstatted or just generally not fit the class" Yep.

As much as I love new ideas, I have to disagree on this one.
With Steady Shot, with the exception of Warrior and Priest, its only a matter of time before they eventually win.
The only reason why Control Hunters are not viable is the lack of card draw and healing.
The only healing Hunters have right now (that is good enough) is Reno Jackson, which prevents them from running 2 copies of each card.
All Control Hunters need right now is more card draw, not healing, but that is a problem because giving card draw to Aggro/Midrange Hunter is insane.
Giving both card draw and healing Hunter would be OP. Imagine a world where Hunters can stall enough to play Savannah Highmane on turn 6 and 7, Call of the Wild on turn 8 and 9.
In a world without Call of the Wild, then yes this card would be awesome.

'K. Troll detected. Imagine if hunter could play cards on curve omg !! Ridiculous, delete your account.
Ok I phrased that badly.
What I meant was, for Control Hunter to work, it needs healing and card draw. Having one or the other isn't enough.
Currently, the only viable healing for Hunter is Reno Jackson, but the 1 copy per card restraint greatly reduces consistency. What Control Hunter needs to work with Reno is more card draw. Blizzard has been probably intentionally avoiding this route, by giving Hunters cards that generate Beasts instead of drawing from your deck. Problem with that is you need removals, usually Spells, to take back the board, not minions.
Giving Hunters more healing will not solve the problem (IMO). Stalling the game without any way to take back the board is useless (except maybe with Unleash the Hounds/Powershot/Dreadscale + Acidmaw, but its 10 mana and way too unreliable, since it relies on 2 cards, one of which is an irreplacable Legendary).
If you give Hunters card draw and alternate reliable sources of healing besides via Reno Jackson, they might potentially be very broken. The reason why Hunters are allowed to have such powerful class cards, especially Call of the Wild, is because of their lack of card draw (opposite of Warlock). That is why Midrange Hunter is so powerful when they draw on curve, everything you're playing is giving you more value than what you pay for.
If you give Hunters card draw, so that they can draw their answers more reliably, that would also make Aggro Hunter/Midrange Hunter even more broken than they already are, unless you can somehow make it only work for Control Hunter.
Alternately, Control Hunter could become viable if Hunter had more/better board clears, or more Control-oriented Beasts that directly impact the board when played (eg. Battlecry, Taunt, etc).
I know I sound like I'm contradicting myself. My point is actually pretty similar to what Biohazard_Q8 mentioned above:

I really want Control Hunter to work too, but at the same time I can see it being really OP if not balanced properly.
Here's my idea, basically goes along the theme of scavenging meat, like how in wow when you kill a beast they usually drop meat of some kind
May be overstatted or just generally not fit the class, so any thoughts/criticisms are welcome, just thought I'd throw my idea out there
too strong imo

OP. Hunter with a steady source of healing is unstoppable with that hero power.

Good job! I vote for any kind of healing for hunter.
Hope it will chage hunt gameplay.
