Here's an anti-aggro card idea I thought of the other day. I'm not sure if other people have already thought of this, so sorry if it's not original.
The name of the card is just my stab at corrupting a well-known card, and it also fits in with the theme of its mechanics. It's a warrior card because warriors can buff their weapons to get extra value out of them. I could have just put "Can't attack. Your hero has +3 attack (even during your opponent's turn)," but I wanted the weapon to deal damage to the attacker first, THEN the receiver takes damage. The "Whenever" indicates this order.
If you have any constructive criticism on this card's design, I'd love to hear it.
EDIT: I did some "balancing" and tried to make it as OP as I could without making it too OP.
I enjoy the interesting and innovative design of the card, Somewhat of a Noble-sac plus gore-howl type feel. I just feel like it would be some what under-powered (4 mana for 2/3 weapon). If this card existed in the current meta, I would not use it over king's defender/Fiery war axe.
I think making it a 2/4, 2/5, or even a 3/4 weapon would make it something that's actually viable. Or keeping the stats and changing the mana cost would also maybe make it better
I was thinking a lot like Blizzard when I made the card. I thought, "Hmmm, how to balance.... Oh yeah, let's give the weapon horrible stats *cough* Tentacles for Arms *cough*" So that's why it seems underpowered. I'll do some non-Blizzard oriented balancing and see if I can make it any more powerful.
It's incredibly easy to play around. Most aggro decks will very easily have a 2 or 3 minions by the time you play it and f they don't want those minions to die, they just wont attack your hero with them until they break your weapon. Not to mention it gets completely countered by Argent Squire and Possessed Villager, two extremely common aggro cards, other weapons, Druid hero power or any minion with more than 3 Health.
Yes, great idea. Let's give warrior an anti-aggro card, since warrior is so helpless against the merciless onslaught of aggro.
I couldn't agree more. Warrior can easily counter aggro with all of its armor synergy and Brawl. But, I felt like making this a warrior card because of its potential with all of its weapon buffs. I would gladly remake this card into a rogue, hunter, paladin, or even shaman card, but then I would need to find new art and come up with a good name, so yeah. You bring up a good point, but it's not as if this will ever actually become a card. If it were to become a real card, I'm sure Blizzard would think through it a lot better than me.
The text could be simplified to "Can't Attack. Doesn't Sheath." Minions attacking face already take weapon damage, its just the weapon's sheath at the end of your turn.
"As part of ongoing communication with the WoW developers, it has been agreed that Hearthstone is now the official source of WoW lore. We hope you look forward to seeing Ragnaros, Lightlord in Legion!"
That's a nice weapon with an interesting effect, I'm not sure if it would be played since you can't have another weapon until this one is gone. You could also call it Chilly Peace Axe, because of [/card]Fiery War Axe[/card]'s flavor text:
During times of tranquility and harmony, this weapon was called by its less popular name, Chilly Peace Axe.
And since you don't really do anything except equipping it, the name fits a bit.

Cool concept, 3/3 for 3 looks quite strong, but should be fine.
Just a little remark: "Can't attack" is not correct here, since technically it always is the hero who attacks (think of a weapon and then playing Heroic Strike). So it should say, "Your hero can't attack".
Also I liked the suggestion to call it Chilly Peace Axe to fit the flavour text.
Call it "Axe of Dust" since this card couldn't be more useless in the current weapon-hate heavy meta. Harrison Jones draws 3 cards from it and you get ZERO value (even less than from Fiery War Axe, because you at least get 1 attack off the turn you play it). Ooze just gives your opponent a free 3/2 + 1 extra mana advantage.
This is imho weaker than explosive trap. And think about it for a moment before you go like WTF its completely different - the cards work very similar from your opponent's perspective.
Fair point. If it was the late game and you were up against a zoolock with a full board of small minions, this would do practically nothing for you. Totally agreed. In that situation, Explosive Trap would be a lot better. However, if it was the early game, and you were up against, say, an aggro shaman, then the 3 attack on this weapon could remove minions such as Tunnel Troggs, Flame Jugglers, and Spirit Wolves. This card is designed to get more value off of the early game, so it is obviously not as effective in the late game if/when your opponent has total board control. If your opponent chooses not to throw their minions into your face in the early game, then this card could do a few things:
1) Stall until turn 5 to draw your Brawl or another board clear if you don't already have one.
2) Prevent damage to your face.
3) Force your opponent to make low tempo plays to prevent you from getting value out of your weapon. (such as summoning small minions that they would not summon otherwise to send into your face)
4) Force your Druid/Rogue/Paladin opponent to use their hero power.
5) Yes, as you said, your opponent can easily summon an ooze (on turn 3) or harrison (turn 4 + coin) if they aren't all-out aggro decks. However, if they do this, then it might be an off-curve play, and it would save your Gorehowl from being destroyed later.
I agree that it is a lot like explosive trap, but the 3 attack damage and the abundance of 3 health minions in aggro decks surely makes a difference. You're right though, it certainly isn't the most powerful of cards. Plus, it doesn't HAVE to be a warrior card. I could make it for another class, but I liked the idea of durability buffs from the warrior class. Thanks for the input!
NOTE: For all of you saying to change the name to "Chilly Peace Axe," I don't really want to find more card art that would fit the card's name. I didn't know of the flavor text beforehand, and I don't really want to copy Blizzard, so I'll just stick with the boring, unamusing name of "Fiery Peace Axe." If someone comes up with a really good name for it though, then I'm completely willing to change it as long as the peace theme and the card art fit.

It's a decent idea, but I agree, that the value is off and needs a bit of adjustment.
The name kills me too...
Underpowered
Say "Wow" for RNG!
So you mean if the 2 damage killed the attacker then the Warrior would receive no damage? That'd be cool.
Ibn Fahd.
Of course, at 4 mana, it's not really anti-aggro :(

ElephantsGuideMe - well, we shouldn't be surprised you made a "Fiery Peace Axe."
The name sucks, but the premise of the card is a cool one. I'd suggest calling it Bulwark of Azzinoth.

At 3 mana its a pretty good idea dude :)
