I notice A LOT of decks run this location. In my experience this card is awful. Theres way too much variance. I dropped it for Glugg in RenoShaman and the Scourge in my DK decks. Anyone else feel the same?
i just played RenoShaman against a RenoDruid and this card prettty much fucked him. He hit Triple Sevens on my minion while he had a full hand and burned all his won conditions. I was laughing my ass off.
It's a junk card. The big thing about Yogg cards has always been how many random cards it was casting. If you got several bad result at the start, it only took 1 good result to get it to do what you wanted (ie: clear the enemy board). Prison just doesn't cast enough times in a single use to get it to do what you're wanting. How often do you see it used against a single minion only for that minion to still be on board at the end of it?
When I run it and target enemy hero, it casts a bunch of heals. If I'm low on health and target myself, it casts a bunch of damage spells.
I no longer use the card.
Maybe if there were some sort of "brains" to it like Zephrys or other cards that do beneficial/harmful based on condition, I'd run it. But as pure random...no thanks.
I don't think it's a bad card, but it absolutely isn't a garuanteed good card either.
What it does do is give you three chances at a hail-mary. If you don't need it, you dont use it. If you have no other ways to avoid losing you pray to Yogg!
From a design perspective I hate it though...The variance is massive
I don't like the location and I don't like the titan, although that one is a bit better
It's a shame that quite a few deck lists suggest you to run them, I will probably sacrifice that 5% winrate or whatever to run something that's a bit more engaging than playing the lottery
When my opponent plays that, it’s almost always because they’re about to loose and they’re relying on good luck to win. I can’t bring myself to run it… can’t disenchant it.
I don't know how it is rated, but I don't think it is healthy for the game. The amount of times it snatched victory away by multiple clearing my waves is way more frequent than it whiffing. I don't like that it has 3 charges too. That being said, I am happy to read that some people are removing it from their decks.
Well from the comments we can see that the true skill in this card is to know in which deck to use it, and when to play it, and when not to play it.
I like it in more aggressive decks, it's a 'Get maybe out of jail'-card. When the opponent is almost stabilizing and you are running out of gaz, you point this location at their face and hope for burn, board clear, card draw etc.
If you want to play this in a control deck, I don't think you can expect to do well with this card. It can be just another form of clear, but at seven mana, I feel there are better clears for cheaper, and you are better off to get some draw or discover cards to get to those draws more consistently.
Control is less about variance, while face is not too scared of variance, in me beliefs on this game at least.

I do. Switched for the new Firearm legendary.
The location is still fun to play though, and I pick it occasionally in Arena
thank you...thought I was crazy

Depends. I swear it never does anything for me but when my opponents play it... its a big deal.

I agree. The titan is better.
Control warrior just played this Vs me and it cast flames of zin ashara and it replaced his deck with junk. Was near start if game as well 😀

"AhaA!"
i agree it fits in aggro more as a last ditch effort. its complete shit in control decks
It's so unreliable at killing a single minion. And afraid to cast it on hero else it might heal them.
Also risky when you have a full hand.

Aggro can't use it easily, because it's 9 mana, and aggros are usually BAD after round 7 or 8.
