No one can guess if this card is good or bad at first sight. It's impossible!
Congratz to Blizzard for such a good job!
Sigh...
We can test it already, people, so I opened this thread for everyone to discuss the inevitable influence of this card into the Deadmines meta (Standard and Wild).
Well I theorycrafted a DH deck that used it to OTK and that actually ended up with negative votes today, so this card must be awful!
Still need to actually test it. People are inherently negative about everything around here, it seems. How exhausting...
But I can see this guy being the absolute bane of the meta, both standard and wild, for a while. I see a lot of pirate warrior on ladder in standard already, now they can chunk 6+ free damage on you out of nowhere, woo! :D

Yeah, I saw your DH deck already and some comments about it. Honestly, it seems to have potential to me, but I need to give it a try first. I gave it a well deserved upvote already. :)

I think you are mixing up a few things here:
Firstly, theorycrafting a deck doesn’t say anything about a single card. Your deck was OTK-ish, but relied on drawing quite a few specific cards. So in the end it might just be a bad deck, Smite or no Smite.
Secondly, you named your thread “meta solved”. Yes, Smite could be the next Leeroy and part of nearly every deck for the reach, but as you said, your deck needs testing.
So there was no compelling argument, why the deck was the next meta breaker or that it would actually work. That’s why it ended up with two upvotes and three down - which is like nothing.

Well, the post title was done in jest, but it was taken too seriously, I guess, and triggered people? And my comment about my deck being downvoted and the card being bad was also just a joke... I guess I should stop making threads, decks and joking.
I feel like this forum doesn't get a lot of activity like it used to, so I was compelled to just make something to stir some conversation, but the outcome doesn't really encourage me to try again.
I should stick to making threads with unaggressive titles where I try to motivate people to share new deck ideas and get zero replies. :)))))
On topic: I've only played a handful of games in standard since patch and haven't seen any pirate warriors, nor have I been smashed by Mr. Smite yet. Anyone else?
Well as long as it doesn't drop out from the juggernaut it's not THAT crazy in standard. I have a decent WR so far against them with deathrattle hunter. Gotta love them parrots
So Leeroy was nerfed, and now this insane powercreep of him is spreading cancer on ladder. Should be 5 mana "have rush", but Blizzard need to sell this Deadmines packs ofc.

That’s what I got from the title as well, it just falls in line with many other threads that complain about, well, everything. Some will take it too seriously. For me there were too many layers: is it a meta thread, a critique of printing a new Leeroy with a decklist attached? A deck discussion with a cheeky title? Neither of those, but a discussion of the next meta and deck building?
So I can see why the reaction was polarized.

Nah, just take the reactions with a grain of… salt.
This card belongs in the the past. Had it been released back in TGT it could have made pirates playable and added a competing aggro or midrange alternative to face hunter. Now it supports decks that are already good with a keyword that should be dead and gone. Seeing that card was one of the biggest "but why?!" moments in a very long time...

Can a mod move this thread to Card Discussion, please? Thank you! :)

LOL is this a real card?

Hi, jainaishot! :) How are you?
Yeah, it is a real card. Lazy design at its finest. :(
Love it with Conviction in my new Smite Hand Buff Paly, add a charged Bloodsail Raider, while having a weapon equipped for good measure, lmao.
this card destroyed the meta and of course priest now has nothing to do here on standard.... so sad.
destroyed? I think that's exaggerating a little...
Card design is terribly lazy .. I think it might have much big impact in wild.
New 5 attack weapon equipped, then turn 10 2 * Bloodsail Raider + Mr. Smite that is 25 damage or you can use Gorehowl instead for 31 lol
I am fine my friend!I have completely lost all touch with hs and log in hearthpwn from time to time to see who you bamboozled for the day.
Regarding the card, wow...the dev's just stopped pretending to care i guess.

Already being abused by Paladins, Rogues, Warriors and Hunters on ladder.
Definitely getting nerfed.
The game continues to cater to mobile players who want quicker matchups.
At least it shits on Quest Mage.

Team 5 is incompetent.
