If you look at turn 5 I spam some minions on board because I knew my opponent was going to play Tip the scales. I was counting on Zephrys to offer me Savage Roar on turn 6, which would give me lethal for a total of 23 damage.
I thought he was programmed to always give lethal when it was possible? Or am I missing something?
It was said that: "Zephrys likes to win games, so it will always look for lethal. However, Zephrys is extremely risk-averse. If there is any way to have 100% lethal (remember, it does not check your hand!), Zephrys will give it to you."
I had a problem with Zephrys too. As you can see below, my opponent has a full board with minions and all of them has 4 or less than 4 health, i have 7 mana. The best option here should have been flamestrike, or at least i think. Another problem here is offering Blizzard and Frost Nova at the same time. Because there is no big difference between this two in these situation since blizzard kills only a 1/1 and freeze others. Not to mention about the other garbage offer.
Zephrys will always give you lethal if it's possible. You're just missing some damage. On turn 6 when you played Zephrys your opponent had 22 hp. You had 6 minions. 4 with 1 attack, 1 with 2 attack and 1 with 3 attack 4+2+3=9. If Zephrys gave you Savage Roar it would give your 6 minions +2 attack 6*2=12. 9+12=21. So Savage Roar would give you 21 damage but your opponent had 22 hp so Zephrys couldn't give you lethal.

Check your math. Savage roar also gives your hero +2

you're missing the 2 damage from the Hero attacking.
Are threads not locked anymore? I really don’t think this is something Blizzard cares about, nor needs to be told. Remember that “always” has a different meaning in Blizzard’s mind, so...
Well I think it is something blizzard should care about, because the card is widely used in high level play. Imagine sitting in a hearthstone championship game and this happens to you. You read the cards, you setup for lethal, whump whuuump zephrys loses you the game because it is not smart enough.. The cool thing about this card is that you can manipulate it into giving you want you want. But if it can't be trusted, it's a problem..
Pretty sure Zephrys doesn't count Hero with no Attack (via weapon?) into Savage Roar. I think he had this problem before with 0-Attack minion, and Blizz fixed this but they probably never thought about Hero then... small indie company, you know.
I think they should genarally up the possibility to get savage roar or bloodlust.
I once had a game with hunter vs. control warrior with some minions on the board. Zephyrus gave me soul of the forest instead of those two options. At the end it was enough but the game would have been much more easy.
It's probably just a bug, Zephrys often proposes Savage Roar to me even if that's not lethal by a few points, just because he realises you probably don't have better to do if your opponent has an empty board. I imagine he gets things messed up if your opponent does have a board tho.

This is not a Blizzard website, so their interest in a matter has nothing to do with whether or not a thread should be locked.
If Zephrys is not working as advertised, it's worthy of discussion. At the very least, people want to know how to keep this from happening to them.

Blizzard is better there because he cant draw the murlocs. Strange it doesn't give you the flamestrike choice though.

I think in this case Zephrys fears killing the Murmy because the reborn 1/1 can deal 20% of your current health with an attack (could also lethal you with a buff or two), while freezing the board prevents all incoming damage next turn. It is terrible logic but I imagine that's what's going on here. Worth reporting because there's probably a work around for this. I also agree there is very little reason to offer you Frost Nova and Blizzard at the same time. In summary, it probably favours not leaving any minion able to attack on the board when your HP is this low (even if it is a 1/1), so it preferred to freeze rather than kill the Murmy.
If you get the chance, try and set up the same game state playing with a friend, trade off the 1/3 first and see if he offers you Flamestrike, I would assume he would in that situation. Also set up the same scenario but being at 30 HP instead of 5 and I would expect again that he should offer Flamestrike.
Yeah. Should have been offered Savage Roar. Remember that it's a new card and has already been updated 2 times. It isn't perfect yet but Blizzard has been actively making it better. Something like this is important to point out to the devs. This site isn't where you should do it though. It is there to give you the perfect card and most of the time it has for me. It's great. It has saved me from losing matches and gotten me that extra burst to win matches in that turn. I would say to go to the actual Heartstone forums and post this there. It would be good for them to know what happened.

So I think I need to RMA my Zephrys the "Great" because he didn't offer me lethal in this game:

it valued AoE clear more than lethal, weird :S

i think you should report that game somewhere :/

Once my opponent had 4 big drops on board and I had zephrys didn't offer me Brawl I had 6 mana because of that I lost that match.
