reminds me of vile spine and we know that card is broken. 6 mana 65 is actually better than 5 mana 3/4. It'll cost you a lot of hp to kill big stuff but doesn't require combo like vilespine.
Very surprised about the negative responses here. It's a higher-statted vilespine with no combo requirement. You put this in a high pressure deck like zoo so the hp you lose doesn't matter as much. It's perfect for killing Zilliax, for example, since it doesn't trigger lifesteal. Perfect for the final push against control. If we get just one more synergy card with demons or self damage I can see it become a staple in zoo or demon midrange (if there is support).
I like the flexibility to target either your opponent's or your own minions. Need a way to crack an egg or a cube wide open (mostly thinking Wild here)... this guy can help out.
If this card will be not be extremely powerful this coming expansion there are still 5 more to go for it to find a place when there are enough healing cards. Obviously in wild this might really replace Siphon Soul in some decks as you have the Spellstone.

Looks like both cards won't see much, if any play. Siphon soul is too slow and rift cleaver is even worse according to lightforge arena.
Now that I've seen this card in action a little bit I'm convident saying this is a really crazy tempo card, I can see a midrange warlock shaping up in this expansion.
