I think that it's too soon to know how well it will get with Dr Doom, but we have a good point to compare later on, as meta settles...
The chart is sorted by played winrate, so to see how "useful" Hero Cards actually are. It surprises me a bit to se Deathstalker Rexxar at the bottom...
Most likely with the most controlling hero cards, if you get them online you are already in a very secure position. With Rexar it is played earlier and takes time to make an impact.
You will notice the played WR is a lot lower than the deck WR. If you get it into play t is more of a last ditch effort to win a game already on the line. Compared to Valera with a low deck WR and high played WR, so if you get to it you probably are surviving aggro and will most likely win.
As mentioned in the Dr Boom hero thread in preview time, I mentioned how the warrior hero card will not make Warrior a Tier 1 deck and playing it alone will not win you decks. It needs severe help to do so and the hero power needs to line up with what you need.
Getting the Do 1 damage to all enemies is amazing against Paladin. It does nothing against control or combo decks. Since you can't control it or choose it, you are at the whims of RNG.
DK Guldan and Jaina are amazing because you know exactly what they do and their effects are super strong. You cannot leave a 1 Health minion on the board against Jaina.
For Warlock, you have to kill the demons, but if you do, Guldan gets better when played. The only good way of countering it is to play transform effects like Hex or Polymorph.
Rexxar is strong in certain situations, but cannot do anything about all the combo decks running around and his HP does very little against aggro unless you can get a taunt.
DK Garrosh is far superior because you get a weapon which immediately impacts the board and can potentially kill 3 minions along with the HP. That is amazing. Often if you can, you will DMH with DK Garrosh in your hand to get another one later in the game.
Getting a second Dr Boom does absolutely nothing to help you out.
I like playing the Dr Boom Hero card because the HP is always going to be better than gaining 2 armor every turn. But the lack of control or predictability really hurts it.
I wish it was in a certain order or if you dont use the power, it stays and ONLY changes if you use it. That gives you some control over when to use it.
Rexxar is in all decks, and does not guarantee a win, since you need to be smart enough to build and use the correct beasts at the correct time (high skill floor, and skill ceiling).
Valeera has a high ceiling, but a pretty low floor, since anything doubled is amazing, and she usually is only played in wacky decks, which more or less guarantees more experienced pilots.
Gul'dan is the strongest dk, and has a n'zoth effect, so if you make it to him, the opponent has to outlast you, as you rarely ever die through him.
Most of the others are more akin to winconditions, so ofc their winrates will be high if played.
Dr boom is w/e. and does nothing immediately if played, so i can see him being lower. Its still a good card, just not as busted as say dk jaina or guldan.
Do you mean that Rexxar has a low skill floor and Valeera has a high skill floor? Otherwise that doesn't make sense.

On the third day before Witchwood, Blizzard gave to me,
Hi!
I've seen around people complaining about Dr Boom, Mad Genius...
This got me thinking about how well do Hero Cards are, winrate, amount of decks, etc. So I went and made a Hero Card chart in HSreplay so to compare. Here's the link to save you some time https://hsreplay.net/cards/#text=frost lich, uther, gul'dan, thral, vale, anduin, drboom, hagatha, malfurion, garr, rexx, &sortBy=playedWinrate

Any thoughts?
I am more surprised that Uther is higher than Anduin, and nobody even plays him.

Yeah, buuuuuut, look at how few % of decks he is in and the amount of times played...

On the third day before Witchwood, Blizzard gave to me,
three Handlock decks,
two Molten Giants
and a winstreak to Legend Rank #3
Disclaimer: This is a fictional poem and this didn't actually happen to me.
Rexxar has higher winrate than Gul'dan? That's unexpected.
