I can picture myself playing this card in a deck with some Tainted Zealot (always loved her, she actually tend to stick on board if played at the right moment). I always wanted to play a decent spell damage deck. This is a good push in that direction I think. I like it.
Yeah, there's potential, but I don't see it fitting into any deck. What mage deck wants two random minions on turn four, at the cost of having to run spell damage? Even if you get two 3-drops on turn 4, which is an unlikely dream, you have to compete with the likes of Greater Emerald Spellstone and whatnot. It's not unfair enough
Most underrated card in this expansion, it's not meta defining, but it's far from bad.
Of the 30 currently revealed cards? Perhaps. In the whole expansion? ... Hm, maybe you know something that the rest of us doesn't, but I believe it's a bit early to claim that.^^
Having said that, I really want this card to be good - just needs some decent Spell Damage minions to play alongside with. :)
4 mana for something like 12 stats on average is indeed OK but that is not anywhere close to justify spellpower deck.
I don't know if anyone already said, but did you forget black cat is for odd decks?
Dude, if you want the spell damage the "odd" part doesn't matter, i remember the 2 mana 3/2 with spell damage that buffs C'thun being played in most of mage decks but C'thun decks. A 3/3 body is not the best, but if it can survive consistently on board, and this card ends being good enought the black cat will see play out of odd decks

This plus malygos makes a very scary board. :p
I don't like it for the simple fact I just know that with my luck I will summon like 2 doomsayers from it. xD
then again just with one upgrade I can avert that disaster. :D
Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.

Maybe... nah nah nah nah
The return of Malygos Mage?
Time will tell. Potentially interesting card.

You couldn't run this in an odd deck, so the cat wouldn't draw a card. Feels too weak
Um, wha... (does double take)... uh... hmmmm

One very important synergy for a tempo mage deck is the fact that apprentices reduce its cost 3. 3 mana summon 2 random two drops is a decent tempo.

Black Cat
Where does it say you can't play it in a deck with even cards? Still get the spell damage but you don't draw the card. That's fine.

Its nice to finally see some "new" and interesting cards now that brode left.

Black Cat might finally see play if Spell Damage is a major theme for mage this exp.
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
Seems interesting but not defining enough to warrant a full-on spell damage deck. Perhaps as a one-off with cards like Bloodmage Thalnos.
this + Bloodmage Thalnos is the only good play i see now... but very bad card as for me
Easy 100 dust.

But he participated in this expansion and also the next one after.
Clown fiesta mage archetype is about to be played soon...
In medias res, there is no more or less...
