Hey guys, as a player who doesn't spend much money on the game and has relatively little dust, I wanted your opinions on whether you think Genn Graymane or Baku is a wiser craft in the current meta/what you predict will be more useful in the future. I know the second half of that question is difficult since we don't know what future expansions will be like, but I'd like to not make more mistakes in my legendary crafting with limited dust :). Thank you for any help!

I'd recommend waiting until the next expansion is released - no one honestly knows which decks will be rendered obsolete when the new cards hit. Expansions have dropped on the first or second Thursday of the month for the past two years, suggesting that the new set will be released no later than 9 August - if you save your dust until then, you'll also get more "bang for your buck" with respect to the cool new cards you can craft.
as even shaman sees play in wild, it's probably not a bad mechanic after all, but at the same time there aren't many baku/genn decks at top tier in wild.
anyway I would wait for any craft atm, we are very close to an expansion announcement.
The Baku decks are cheaper. You could craft Odd Rogue or Odd Paladin that are costing around 4k~5k dust. Even Shaman, Even Warlock and any other "even" are much more expensive than "Odds". But I wouldn't craft any deck for the time being, the next expansion is coming soon.
Choose the class you like more or already have a lot of cards with.
How is "Genn = Paladin", when basically 101% of the ladder pallys is Baku?
Atm it's either Genn = warlock shaman and Baku = Rogue Paladin (maybe Warrior)
All other classes are doing better/the same without those cards. If you want to craft any of those decks then choose the one you like more. Otherwise wait till new expansion hits.

Genn paladin is still really good, so is murloc paladin in fact. No one plays them because odd paladin is the popular netdeck right now and barely anyone who plays ladder puts any thought into what to play they just copy the most popular decks.
Talking about fun - I agree 100% that they are still viable. Talking about value/cost and competitiveness of the particular decks, the most popular are the ones I mentioned. Op wants the most value for his dust, so these would be the decks I would aim for.
I happened to open Genn, and just needed to craft mountain giants and then I had Even Warlock. I would wait until the next xpac hits because you don't know if it will bring a tech card that will nullify Genn/Baku effects.
Personally, I like Even Warlock because it requires a serious amount of resource management (which is a weakness for me). Also why I fail hard with Shaman overload mechanic. But I digress.
As a proud owner of Even lock, I just happened to open it and have most of the pieces. If I didn't open Genn, I probably wouldn't have crafted either of them. I think you should save your dust OR craft it on a neutral legendary like The Lich King.
I typically like to play fun decks that are still competitive through ranks 20-8 like kiblers priest deck this year that I invested in and love. But yes, I noticed a lot of competitive decks using both of these legendaries and I only need genn for even warlock decklist but didn't want to spend that if Baku has a ton more value. Thank you for replying all these posts helped a lot.
Both cards are safe crafts, both neutral cards and can be playable on all 9 classes, and u cant create odd or even decks without them next 1 and a half year
I would say baku because even deck like warlock and shaman are super expensive with other legendaries and quite a few epics. While odd decks like palidan are a lot less expensive but still as effective if not more.

I always preferred Sylvanas to Genn, until recently. Her charac- wait....

Genn = warlock paladin shaman
Baku = rouge mage warrior (priest)
Choose the class you like more or already have a lot of cards with.
As others have said, just wait. Also take a look at some even and odd decks on youtube and see which you prefer to play.
Genn because it feels terrible to topdeck Baku

Baku is a more fun card imo. But both are going to be viable for the next year, so maybe both eventually?

Exactly.
I am personally not a big fan of Genn and Baku, but again: let's wait few weeks to see some new cards from the second expansion.

Thank you everyone! These posts helped a lot, I'm in agreement, probably best just to wait and see with the upcoming expansion.
