Interesting card. Hopefully they at some point print a minion that equips a Weapon (Like Medivh), whose effect is the reverse of this, Hero cannot be targetted for attacks. Since we have counterplay for one that is actually hard to deal with, we should have it for the other. (Unless they want to print some extremely powerful Taunt minion which can be dangerous)
Great tech card against decks that end the game through burn, which includes both control decks and aggro decks. The stats are also good enough that you can easily just run this and it won't be that bad even if you're up against something like Zoo.
It's roughly chillwind yetti stat lines, and the same as water elemental, for those that think this will stop Andin, they can just pain it or play bookwyrm with dragon version.
at best it's a gain 6 armor for 4 mana which is bad, they can just ping this down first.
don't think this card will see any play in constructed.
I wanted this SO badly when face hunter was a thing. I still think this is a sweet card. Best art of set IMHO. Great design. Love this card, more of this please!
It says "can't be targetted". Hunter's hero power pings you automatically and would still work. It'd save you from the two kill command spells, but nothing more.

That's exactly what you need against Face Hunter a lot of the time. Without Kill Command, Face Hunter often loses (or the opponent stabilizes) on the very next turn.

Has anyone tried this in a competitive deck? Am I too naive to think, that this can somehow be used against Raza and Burn mage or, really, it will end up being like Mindbreaker, aka just a theoretical inclusion?
It looks like a solid card but it's not meta, so there isn't a real reason to play it. I think it has the best potential in recruit/armour druid but that deck is not mature yet.
I waited for a comment like this, but my weak counter-argument would sound like this:
1) Normally priests always use their Pain on one of my earliest cards. There is no reason for them to keep it for the late game. I'm not blindly imagining only the positive outcome, claiming it will be like a surprise attack, but personally I wouldn't play around this card.
Then there are always cards like Silence and maybe Shadow Visions, which the Raza player can really hold onto, when preparing for that Velen burn turn. So maybe I'm not going to safely play this card after all.
2) It's a tech, mainly used against specific strategies. I don't expect to be helpful against aggro, I think it's okay to have some techs, which are situational, because a) I can always draw them with the HP (warlock main), b) I have a lot of the other needed cards, which counter aggro decks. Like I said - I'm just looking for fitting tech cards and I'm asking for opinion.
3) But if played at the right time, then those 2-3 spells, will theoretically mean gaining me 8-12 health, which would have went to the face instead. That's why the shammy card doesn't do the actual same thing.
Once again, thanks for your opinion and thanks to all of you, who are kind to reply to my post. I also kinda wanted to get some impressions from people, who have already tried it.
To make this card counter Priest and Mage you need Adaptation and discover stealth. Which will never be tech'ed into any deck.

I daresay the effect outweighs the incredible stats.
I don't know how it will be used; but it will be used, rest assured.

this card does nothing, what are you gonna keep this in your hand until the turn before you're gonna be killed to save you 6 life? no
the only way you'll see this card in play is from an evolve or devolve

Hey, guys, can I ask a question?
