I am glad they nerfed this, wish it was not just this and innervate though, nourish should have the mana ramp nerfed, if they did that and did not nerf warrior or paladin I would be totally happy with the changes. For now I am worried karazhan nerfs were better for the game than this set will be.

The strongest thing you can do in the game currently is build a large board of strong minions while using as few cards as possible. SP does more than most decks can with one card, it's too powerful, simple as that. there's nothing in the game that beats it for value.

its not 6 mana summon 1/5 taunt just like unleash isn't 3 mana summon a 1/1 charge. It's never the minimum value. In magical hypothetical world where you live maybe you can always "play around it" and still win but for those of us in reality its probably still too good.
i don't like that they nerfed the anti-aggro card, would have been much happier with a jade card nerf
Complete agree. This card just destroyed all aggro on Druid - 7 cost would have been even better. Looking now for some serious Jade Idol nerf. Let's just get rid of these pesky little putses from the ladder!
All relevant aggro decks nerfed: Token druid (innervate), Pirate Warrior (win axe) and Murloc Paladin (war leader). Jade will brush off this nerf like it's nothing.

Unfortunately correct - unless Blizz just kills Jade Idol. Skulking Geist is but a pathetic, lousy, clumsy, expensive (6 mana!!) remedy to'em.

Worst case scenario is it's a 6 mana summon three 1/5 taunt minions. It's pretty simple, just don't flood the board going into any turn past 6.

The timing might have been better in the past, so warrior could have gotten replacement removals for 2 mana, but that's about it, it absolutely did need a nerf. It did not need a nerf to its mana cost/damage/durability. They could have made it not able to hit face to calm everyone's tits about Pirate Warrior (which isn't even that bad compared to how bullshit jade druid and any priest deck is). What they did is make it the worst 3 mana 3/2 weapon in the game. And Protect the King! is not balanced at all, its complete and absolute trash. What I was saying is that Spreading Plague makes this card look like a joke, instead of 1/1 taunts for 3 mana its 1/5 taunts for 5 mana (soon to be 6 mana)

Agreed. I would have loved to see a counter card which punishes hard and gains tempo. Something in the lines of A 4 mana 4/4 with "gain +2 health for every 1 cost spell destroyed in your opponents deck". This would be tough for druid to remove but not even decide the game.
