I dont think tho Priest had been unplayable before the Gadgetzan. Thing is Priest was somehow not consistent enough to be a tier1. Despite that misunderstanding, you admitted even urself that Drakonid Operative is OP. No classes deserve to get a single OP card for total balance and I think Operative is way beyond OP. Even more OP than the 4 mana 7/7. Definitely needs to be nerfed.
Just played a game vs reno dragon priest and got off four DrakOP discovers, I lost but blizzard please nerf this OP broken card that automatically wins the game for you.

lost to n'zoth rogue at rank 19 but thankfully I used DrakOP to discover Journey Below and easily win the game nope still lost but blizzard please nerf the clearly OP and broken card asap.
so if you're following along with my spreadsheet, this is now 4 games in a row lost, despite playing DrakOP. But blizzard, please nerf this clearly broken card.
edit: Discovered Naturalize vs jade druid, but again, literally didn't matter since jade druid can simply outvalue dragon priest on 100% of turns.
Had my hopes up for dragonpriest before launch...tried it for about 50 games but couldn´t get past 50% winrate..had to swap to dragon warrior and aggro jade shammie to break rank 5.

Card is op but this was needed to make priest somewhat playable.
A lot of classes can burst the face in middle to late game.
Priest should have some threaths so that they wont be used on face to finish him off.
Remember that priest always has to chop down all the opponent hp with minions attacking the face.
Other classes can chip in some 1 hp damage each turn with hero power and throw 4 -10 hp damage with removal spells if needed to close iff the game.
Priest still lack a decent card draw and and is stll forced in bad trades against 4 attack and damaged minions so giving them somewhat higher stated minions wont force the priest to kill 2 or more minions to deal with the board.
And no, a card making a deck stronger/more synergy doesn't by itself define the card as being OP/broken.
edit: WHEN you discover key cards. You don't always discover key cards, evidenced by my hard data.
You mean your hard data of 4-5 games? Do you work for TempoStorm of why do you consider that enough Data to prove anything? I mean sure, Drakonid Operative doesn't always win you the game, but it is very powerful against any deck outside of Aggro and even then, you might get some chargers or burn to come back and stabilize.
28 games actually.

The more I play with this card the more I am convinced it is absolutely NOT OP/broken. You can't argue with actual data. The card is strong no doubt, and gives dragon priest the synergy is was really needing (as the 5-drop slot was pretty weak prior), but it doesn't outright win you the game or always give you insane game breaking discovers.

A card which increases your winrate does not mean the card is OP/broken, just that it's strong and/or has strong synergy.
A card that increases your winrate significantly more than any other card does mean that card is broken.
No it doesn't. Because I said so. You are also wrong because I said so. See I can do it too. Actually this is simply false because you can remove cards from a LOT of decks and this will happen. Very often certain cards serves as a backbone and irreplaceable for decks. This does not mean the card is broken. The only thing it means is that that card is extremely important for that deck. Anyhow, per the front page blue. Dragons will not be seeing anymore support anytime soon. You may look forward to this card not seeing near as much play at rotation, as I predicted.

I'd say both people are right here; Drakonid Operative is "broken" in the sense that if you remove it, the deck definitely would suffer. But so would Miracle Rogue without Preparation, so would Warrior without Fiery War Axe, so would Druid without Innervate... essentially a card being somewhat broken is neither abnormal or particularly unhealthy, especially if said card is something you have to extensively build around to leverage the power of the card and will soon be entering rotation. Think Mysterious Challenger; is he actually still a problem in Standard?
And while Operative may have brought this deck into relevance, Dragon Priest wasn't exactly a horrible deck to ladder with before. You didn't just slot in 2x Operative into existing lists and then go from completely unplayable to Legend-worthy, people like Bunnyhoppor were already hitting Top 10 Legend with pre-existing ONiK lists.

I guess at this point it's mostly semantics. It all comes down too what someone's definition of "broken" is. The above description doesn't quite meet my definition of "broken". If you took away the dragon activator from DO I would say, SUPER BROKEN. In my opinion a card doesn't reach that status unless practically every deck wants to run it. In that sense, innervate is closer to broken than DO. There are of course always outliers, egg druid for example doesn't run innervate, nor would any aggro deck were even if they were able.
