2/2 heal, 4 4/3's for 2, 2 5/5's for 3, just need a 7/7 for 4!
Also 3/2 for 1, in Wild 2/3 for 1, 5/7 charge for 5, maybe even Pit Lord. The guestion is how to heal, and how to do it without losing the tempo you're gaining with the drawbacks. The deck could beat control and midrange deck but loses very hard to aggro, so no go in the current meta, but maybe later, or in tournaments.

I tried a version out and destroyed a warrior weapon deck. I even did 10 damage to myself with the apothecaries. just destroyed his face basically. a little bit of trading.
I did find out that if you play Violet Illusionist anytime AFTER Unlicensed Apothecary you will be protected by the Immune shield on your hero BEFORE the -5 health vial lands on you. However, there's a really bad anti-synergy with Bloodreaver Gul'dan where if Unlicensed Apothecary dies on an earlier turn (or by Bloodbloom/Doom combo), then gets summoned by BG along with your other dead Demons, Unlicensed Apothecary will keep throwing -5H vials at your hero way beyond death. Clearly, you need to have VI survive the turn before you play BG so that you don't look like an utter moron.
I hated this card from the beginning. And it killed me so often when I went DK mode due to the fact I got it from Bane of Doom.
Bane of Doom is really not a good card so I would advice you to stop playing it until the day comes where most of the demons are good. Something that theoretically could happen in the future.

I don't even run it in my deck. But because I am used to playing Renolock in Wild, I happen to discover it from time to time and the other spells tend to be worse, sometimes. (for example, Kabal Courier gave me the following options once: Shatter, Bane of Doom and Shadow Word: Horror; because I only had demons with 2 attack and lower, didn't pick the Shadow Word and went with Bane).

Obviously you should pick Bane there :) I would also advice you against playing Cabal Courier that is quite the inferior card. It's too random and too weak. But fun. So it all depends if you want fun or high win-rate.

Hmm, could try out a bruiser warlock deck.

It's really interesting reading through all these old threads where most people were convinced this card would be 'Very good' :)
