Hey guys, I made a list of cards to be silenced, kind of a deck building guide for Wailing Soul usage. I want to make clear that there is other possible uses for these bunch of cards, I'm just seeking to look at how silence would give you some benefit.
Voidcaller could be if you had a lord jaraxxus and want to keep it for its healing purposes, Unstable Ghoul only if you get pushed to kill other friendly minions by its death rattle. Finally Deathlord after using its taunt purpose.
Mad Scientist might be a special case in which you already have some secrets at play.
Zombie Chow is actually pretty sweet because if he lives long enough then value is made. If he is killed by a hard/soft removal early heals for zero so value gained
Chillwind Yeti This card works great because silence does him no harm.
Mixed results for sure. If I am able to have the Zombie Chow run wild early while using early game removal I can do some work on the hp. Also getting down a coined Ancient Watcher hit with the silence turn 2 from Ironbeak Owl is also really effective. I am gonna keep tinkering around trying to make Wailing Soul work.
I found useful to try to run Ancient Watcher + taunt cards and just one Wailing Soul. Its really hard to have the right cards, being a turn 4 play (maybe turn 3 with a coin). Still is hard to avoid minions that will be affected by silence :s
I agree with all except Ragnaros the Firelord, he trades target selection for indirect damage, meaning he can hit heroes through taunts, and he can take out other 8/8's without taking a single point of damage, that's why I think Mad Bomber is also an amazing card.
Venture Co. Mercenary is obviously huge, I mean, 7/6 for 5mc, same line of thought for Ancient Watcher, but I'd suggest running that as a Priest deck or Druid Deck, as running all your deck's engine through two cards is seriously terrible, you would need an enormous amount of silences, which would be useful both offensively and defensively, so Priest and Druid with the extra silences would be helpful.
You forgot Deathlord. 2/8 for 3, does lose Taunt tho but in Priest can be buffed.
I did include deathlord in the situational naxx cards. The thing about Rag is that sometimes you face a paladin or a shaman or a zoo lock, then you'll be wasting lots of finishing chances when they get many minions at a time. Also I found that Wailing Soul after a Venture Co. Mercenary ends up being a 7 mana card, and that's really bad.

Naxx cards:
top targets (6 cards for our deck)
Zombie Chow, Dancing Swords, Anub'ar Ambusher as the most obvious choices.
situational targets

All other sets:
top targets ( 6 cards)
Ancient Watcher. Huge card to be silenced.
Venture Co. Mercenary =) =)
Ragnaros the Firelord this might be a big finisher combo.
The Beast also a huge target for silence
--------------------------------------------
situational targets
Abomination might be a card to silence if you're seeking a low profit/loss result.
Northshire Cleric if you're running late game and are threatened by fatigue, and applies to any draw mechanism as Mana Tide Totem. Also Auchenai Soulpriest if you'd like your healing powers back.
Maybe an Imp Master ? If you're looking to avoid powering Frothing Berserker.
I have also been looking at making a Wailing Soul based deck since it came out. I usually just play shaman so I was trying some shit out. Here's the deck in progress http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/89844-self-silence-deck-in-progress. I am looking for some help in finishing it.
I been running at the core of the deck
Ancient Watcher of course is great with a silence
Dancing Swords nice to remove that effect.
Zombie Chow is actually pretty sweet because if he lives long enough then value is made. If he is killed by a hard/soft removal early heals for zero so value gained
Chillwind Yeti This card works great because silence does him no harm.
Azure Drake and Gnomish Inventor for card draw. Other more stable sources like Mana Tide Totem run into silence problems.
With Bloodlust and/or Doomhammer as the finisher.
Seems okay, but perhaps a bit too gimicky to be consistent.
How has this deck performed so far for you?

That's why I said use Priest, you can silence for 0.
The same you you hit Healing Circle on Berserker to get a 4/7 for 3.
