Are you sure it was the druid? I don't mean to be rude, but I know I often forget when I use an Innervate that it will trigger the Pyromancer, and I've never encountered this bug before.
Are you sure? Didn't you maybe instead of Druid of the Claw activate Power of the Wild and summoned a panther? They seem similar; but Power of the Wild is a spell even if you summon the panther, while druid of the claw is a minion with a battlecry.

This is a known thing with Keeper of the Grove; both the 2 damage and the Silence effect are considered 'spells' -- but I'm pretty sure Druid of the Claw doesn't normally activate the Pyromancer.

I looked at this card originally and I thought, you know, it's a card, and you play this card. The card will be that card that you play so you're playing a card. So, it is one thing to play a card. If you're opponent doesn't really have any cards, the card will screw up the card pretty hard, and that means it's a pretty good card.

Pyromancer only counts cards that are spells. Silence/2 Damage aren't any different than Defender of Argus's buff.
Hmm. It used to be. Go here and look at #11. I've seen this in action, so it's been changed since.

I remember very clearly the Wild Pyromancer was already out, and at 1 health after having already triggered once in the prior round.
I dropped the Druid of the Claw with no Innervate or anything else on turn 5, and the Pyromancer went off the second I picked which form I was going into. The 4/4 with Charge dropped with no damage to it, and the Pyromancer died from his own effect. I was dropping onto a clear board on the enemies side....otherwise I'd have gone with the Taunt.
(though I swear I'm not trolling here...this did happen to me...thought I'd found a bug others should know about...and it seems like lots of similar things have happened with that pesky Wild Pyromancer with others)
Happened to me the other day.
Had a Wild Pyromancer on the board at 3-1. Dropped a Druid of the Claw, picked Cat Form and BOOM, the Pyromancer went off.
I can only assume that the selection of which form the Druid of the Claw is going to be counts as a spell.
Question is, should it? Or is that a game oversight?
And are there any other Minions out there that will produce the same result, so I know what to avoid?
I don't think it should. They should change the programming on that ASAP. Have reported it on the Blizzard forums?
No I have not.
Will go do that now.

I'm 99% sure that druid of the claw is considered a minion, not a minion spawning spell.
It was turn 5 and I was dropping the Druid.
Nothing happened until I selected the Cat Form card that pops up. Then Mr. Pyromancer went BOOM.
And don't worry about being rude, asking questions is how we find out if people are full of shit or not.
Weird i played this two a lot of times and never happened to me.
Maybe it was a one off bug, I hope so.
Have to play my Druid some more and see if I can get a video of it...

I think u were high at the time or are missing some play you did, it isn't triggered by kotg or druid of the claw.

Perchance I was fatigued.

Strange days, indeed.
Take a pick next time, you can figure it out for the log bar on the left....
Other wise, its like say "i play a ancient of lore, and it draw me six cards, what happend?!"
Agreed.
"Pics, or it didn't happen", right?
