Haven't tried this specific deck but I've played a lot of DW,LoD Paladin and Priest decks, and I have to say, if the deck can't work without him, it can't work, period. So yeah, Alex should probably be OK until you can get the dust. :)
Rend is great against the Twin Emperor/C'thun decks, but the meta as we speak is shifting hard toward aggro, where there's not so many legends. You can certainly give him a shot, but at the moment I'd actually tech in a 2nd Twilight Whelp.
Control Priest w/Spell Armor, running every single board wipe ever along with a host of small spells. Lost 2 in 18 games so far, both of them to my own overdrawing with Cleric+Circle. Murloc Shamans (Shamen?) have gotten me into the single digits four times, but I've recovered every time. Get to 5 mana, wipe, Belcher, wipe, Sunwalker, wipe, win with Djinni + random other minion + Velen's + DS + IF on both creatures at once. Thanks, Wowhobbs! :D
Big fan of WoWHobbes' Djinni Priest. There's just nothing quite like the raw value of dropping a Power Word: Shield, having 3 Djinnis copy it off of your one Northshire, and drawing 4 cards for 1 mana. Also, the OTKs are what Hearthstone is all about. XD
Yeah, Priests are a total coinflip. First, they have to have the answers to your specific problem in their deck in the first place, and second, they have to actually draw them in time to use them. If either of those things fail, they lose. If you simply don't bother posing any questions and just sit back and answer the questions they pose efficiently, they fail, because they don't pack that many questions. They're able to lose on either extreme, and they have to get lucky in the middle.
Just keep in mind that in any string of 100 coin flips, it's statistically quite likely that there will be a string of 7 heads. Don't let the string of lucky Priests who won their coinflips put you on tilt; that's just how the class works.
Playing straight-up Zoolock. Crushing Mages over and over and over again. Goblin Sapper is the MVP, but Trogs are nice, too. Who needs high-CC spells when you're filling the board with 1-3 drops and just raining down little nukes and buffs like...well, rain? This brawl rules!
Wow, y'all're bitchy. You want new decks? Go make 'em! Losing with the decks you are making? Play 'em a shit-ton more until you know them inside and out the way Th3R4t knows Patron Warrior. Figure out what you win against and why, what you lose against and why, and make tiny incremental improvements until you realize that your deck just accidentally turned into Tempo Mage and there's a reason people don't want to waste an entire season or two only to reinvent the wheel! You can do it -- and it's ultimately far more rewarding than griping about stuff on a forum!

I'm currently 27-2 with Innervate + Loatheb. The only class I've lost to were Hunters who used creatures for both slots.

Not when her Battlecry doesn't go off because she got summoned by Deathwing, Lord of Dragons. :p

So does this mean no more Inspire cards from future sets?
