Wild is about 5 ranks easier than standard. There's only 158 legendary players in wild now per the leaderboard but there's probably 5000+ in standard by now. I am rank 7 in wild and 13 in standard. Nearly every deck I am seeing in standard is a netdeck while in wild, there's so many different types of decks, many home made.
Ranked Wild is pretty stagnant since people are just going to play what works and so you run into the same broken reliable decks again and again. The fact they can't squeeze one or two nerfs at the main offenders unless ppl cry about them for years is deplorable.
Joke is on them because since they put so little effort into keeping the mode fresh they are losing players every day.
You haven't played much wild, have you? The game mode never had that many players to begin with, but has seen some slight resurgences when the standard meta has been unbearable due to balance issues. Nowdays, I think more people flee to battlegrounds whenever that is the case.
Sure, some new synergies are discovered from time to time, like Righteous Cause in odd paladin and Supreme Archaeology in Mecha'thun warlock, but that does not make the mode more complex imo. Viable decks need to be built around some OP synergy or have the tools to deal with the ones of others. More cards available does NOT, I repeat NOT increase the difficulty of the mode much. The lack of players taking ranked play seriously is much more important. What difference does 500 extra cards make when only 50 of them are actually playable?

Completely unlike standard which isn't stagnat at all and we don't hear complaints about the meta 24/7 :D :D :D
Actually yesterday I tried Wild for the first time(mostly playing Standard rank 5 and above almost every season) and I was surpriced how easy it was to climb to rank 10(with mech Paladin because I didn't want to spend too much dust and I had most of the cards). I had only 2 loses in this climb. But then on there are too many amazing decks that are a hard counter to mine and it became almost impossible to climb. I'll continue to play wild because the Standard meta is kind of a boring at the moment...
Thx bro! Last season I ended around 60th place. Wild meta I awesome now, if u have cards u should try it! I'll try to keep it up :D I usually play arena because of rewards. Crafting golden decks is my hobby xD
I think wild is not harder, but it is made for veteran players. There are soooo many cards in the wild format so you must play around more cards than in the standard format. And there are some OP combos like Darkest Hour Warlock or Big Priest.
I got bored of standard and everyone copying the same meta decks from web. That's why i started playing wild exclusively.
I would say, for me it's harder to climb the ladders in standard because everyone can just copy what works at the time, so you end up fighting against one million same strongest decks.
In wild there are no meta decks, so my homemade decks are relatively stronger and much more fun to play.
In wild deckbuilding skills are important part of the game while in standard this skill become irrelevant. I just love spending hours sharpening my decks.

Casual<standard<wild<arena
I'm in top 50 legends wild rn, 40th place.
With an aggro deck you can climb up until rank 10 pretty easy in wild. From then on it becomes harder than standard for sure.
Yeah and specially after rank 5 it seems pretty hard.
Wow that's actually a pretty good rank. Awesome!

I'm not sure which is harder but wild is certainly more fun.
