Just got 2 arenas in a row, 7-3 and 6-3, where I got gold reward (always) and 1 useless normal common (5 dust) I think nongolden common card is a terrible reward for arena and it must be really frustrating going 2-3 and getting 1 pack and snipe for example. You can get it from 1 random reward until 7 wins and in 8 and 9 wins you can get it in 1 of 2 random rewards and I think it's really bad for most people to open commons. You can have most commons from expansion after opening 40-50 packs.
I'd even accept little lowering of other random rewards like -5 gold or dust if blizzard would get rid of that nongolden common. What do you think?

I know it sucks to get plain common cards as a reward, but the reward cards are probably geared more towards newer players who may not have all of the commons yet rather than long time players who have all commons and rares, and most of the epics. Blizzards goal in this game is to get you to spend money, and if they give out the good cards in the rewards, people are less likely to buy packs, thus depriving the poor company of their hard-earned money. </sarcasm>
but really, it sucks getting commons, but Blizz isn't going to change that.

I don't want to get guaranteed legendary after 0-3 or anything, just common card rewards are very bad for most players and generally worst random rewards. As I proposed with lowering random gold/dust rewards by 5 gold/dust min and max to compensate getting rid of common, I'd still be fine with that. Just for most players that random common is worth 5 dust, except for beginners/players with low collection. Golden commons are fine for me.
If it would give you a golden common every time, you could just farm dust so easily then. At least 50 dust + pack, it's like minimum 90 dust ( 2.25 packs worth of dust (if you get only 1 rare in a pack) per run. I think it's just too much and it's good as it is right now.
I actually think the random cards you get from arena rewards have the same chance of being golden as cards opened from packs. I also think the rarity of the cards occurs at the same rate as well. Normally i get common cards and occasionally a rare or a golden but a few weeks ago i had a 10-3 arena run and got a bunch of gold, a pack of cards and Cenarius!
I had no idea you could get random legendary cards as direct arena rewards, certainly made my day as it was one of the last classic legendary cards I was missing.

I didn't meant to replace classic common rewards with golden commons. I was talking about chance to get golden cards including commons after 8 wins.

This is so annoying as a reward. According to Hearth arena i get these 50% of the time in my arena run. That's terrible. Expecting a good random reward at 8 win and getting this. 5 dust. Even at 0 win in arena, random reward are better.
They should definitely make some balance into it. They calculate according to the crafting (40) instead of the selling cost (5), which is super expensive.
I don't get why players keep complaining about the arena rewards. Arena is already so much more rewarding than constructed that doing a monthly rank 16 to 5 grind for the ranked chest isn't even worth the time. That's not to mention after rank 5 you get pretty much nothing aside from 10g/3wins for additional games.

The whole rewards structure can use a revamp, but a revamp would likely need to start at constructed to make it worth playing for players that aren't aiming to enter tournaments.
Arena cost 150 gold! So ofc there will be rewards. But if you get 5 wins and get 50 gold and common, and 3 times of that and then 9 wins you get 175 gold and common (not golden) - that's quite bad.
Rest assured, most people are completely ok with the overall amount and quality of rewards in arena. The problem is that this one specific reward that comes in the form of a single common card feels really dispropotionate, because it fills a slot that could possibly be taken by approx. 50 -100 gold, a considerable amount of dust or, less likely, a card pack.
And besides, gaining a single common card in arena doesn't really serve any purpose, because, even if you're a new player you'd more likely benefit from getting gold (because you should buy Classics first) or even dust. The card slot doesn't feel any more disproportionate than the rest of the RNG rewards in this game. For example, opening a pack for example can have a single rare or multiple legendaries depending on the RNG. Getting a common card vs 25 to 120 gold is already much closer than the variance when opening booster packs.
Getting a common card is simply getting the bad end of RNG on a reward. With a rewards system that is so heavily based around RNG, I don't see how "losing the RNG roll and getting a common card most of the time" is an issue. Not every reward can be viewed as a "purpose". If you want to go in that direction, you can pretty much say any arena reward that isn't gold doesn't serve a purpose either. An arena player has no use for cards, packs, or dust. And even gold is worthless unless you run out of it to re-enter arena.

I think you assess it too much from your own perspective. You are a really good arena player who is infinite without even tryharding. Furthermore, you are almost only interested in playing arena and you do it for fun not to grind for ressources. If i remember correctly you don't even care about your dailies. So i assume that you don't care so much about the rewards as long as you get enough gold back to be infinite. And with such a high win rate it is of course way more rewarding than constructed.
But for the hugh majority it is different. One the one hand the aspect of getting value from Arena (in form of a pack discount or even to gain gold) for them is more important, since they care more for their ressources. Especially, if they are not infinite. So they don't play only for fun. On the other hand most players don't have such a high win rate as you have and it is also not possible. The number of average wins per arena is slightly less than 3 wins and over 60% of all runs only get <=3 wins. If you are getting only 3 wins your rewards are still so bad that playing constructed would have been better. It is often even the case for 4 wins. So it is wrong to say that arena in general is more rewarding than constructed. Sure, the rewards are not linear and if you get many wins it becomes really rewarding. However, i don't think that even the average arena rewards are that high and the majority of players just don't get high wins. Actually, the average of the average wins of the players is even lower than average wins per run, since good arena players play more often arena than bad ones.
Here's how I see it: There will always be something that is the worst thing to get as an arena reward. There will always be something that is disappointing to get. While getting common cards sucks I think it balances out some of the better rewards.
