sad thing is, unlike most people I have fun with this brawl. Even if RNGesus is not smiling on me, it still takes skill to play. Yes, the spells are random but you can still have fun playing around and seeing what kind of random crap will happen to you and your opponent.

I love people who just can't have fun with the game, it may be hard for you and I understand, but I find it really funny to see how you "want to show off your skill at Tavern Brawl", it's priceless.
The best part of this brawl is that the crybabies refuse to play past winning their "blizzard owes me" pack.
That means, i'll be playing people who want to have fun, who enjoy playing and maybe making a few friends. The folks who try too hard and are too serious about a digital collector game are welcomed to not play and lose games on ladder.
While the RNG is turned up to 11 on this brawl, there is still some modicum of control here. You can control your trades, and except for the odd board clear, you can also control your board state. You have to weigh the risk between trading and dealing damage first before playing creatures or to just praise Yogg at the start of the turn for some sort of favorable benefit and knowing when to do either - that takes skill.

Sorry.. I just don't see the "fun" in a brawl where you effectively don't even -play-. This brawl has all the interactivity of a slot machine; pull the lever, see what happens.
First game I got Astral Communion while having 8 cards in hand and 10 mana already. Glad it only took 2 games to win this one. I sur will be glad to NOT having to play this brawl again. Not only do we not get to build our deck we have a RNG fest so skill doesn't matter.
This easily makes it into the top 10 worst brawls.
Not being skill intensive is half the reason brawl's exist, its just a bunch of luck...
If I wanted to play a game with no skill I would roll dice.
Would you go to a website and write about how dumb dice rolling is?
Please explain. What conscious decision can you make on any given turn that would be impactful and the result of good strategy and not dumb luck?
attack before dropping creatures in case your spells backfire. Trade minions carefully. Play your better creatures last, if you play them first and then play smaller creatures, those spells might screw your big guy.
Pretty much just like a normal match, you just have to account for more RNG. Or, you could just get your one pack and stop complaining about the brawl, just like every week...

IF there was any foresight whatsoever to at least the type of spell that was coming next.. OR if they included special cards that let you prevent the next minion played from triggering the spell, I could agree with you. As it is, since you have absolutely no idea what's coming next, even deciding when/if you trade or deal face is just a gamble, not a tactic.

The fact that some people fail to recognize this is an indicator of their skill level - it just blows right by them the concept that just they cant control everything doesn't mean they cant control anything.

If dice rolling pretended to be a strategy game I think I would.

What if dice rolling was voluntary? What if there were different ways to play dice and you had the freedom to play any kind of dice you want? What if winning at dice rolling provided something small as a reward for winning that you couldn't get otherwise? What if you wait a week and a dice game you like better might be offered? What if this one type of dice rolling was never really claiming to be a strategy game but you assumed it should be? What if losing a dice game over luck didn't make you mad and then righteous?
Not the worst brawl... too much RNG for my taste though. Definitely there's some control so it's not totally random but yeah. Pack in first game and out :)
This brawl is so much fun. I do not understand why people are still complaining about the fact, that Tavern Brawl is not competitive. it is a fun mode...
ok i played it again, it was pretty entertaining. i got destroyed by wisps of the old gods (summon 7 wisps) then wisps of the old gods again (+2/2 all minions) out of nowhere
next game, every minion I or my opponent played killed it's self with the spell cast... for 3 turns in a row. As we exchanged "Wow!" back and forth. turn 4 i played a minion that cast call of the wold, and that was all she wrote.
So much complaining. 90% of it coming from people with full collections who want tavern brawls that they can gain a huge advantage and then act like its their skill.
I ended playing patronlock in a tavern brawl without even wanting. Im not even mad thats amazing.
I think people need to play other classes than paladin. Almost all my matchups were against paladin. I recomend playing warlock. It was fun. You have patron and unstable ghoul in the deck.

No skill brawl +1.
One of the worst brawls i have played so far. Games should not be able to be completely swung by one random card/spell.
What a terrible day to get the tavern brawl daily quest, fuck my life. 0/10

This one is epic. Good fun Brawl. Just for laughs
Against full board - minion - Consecration Clears all but 1
He plays Deathwing
I play another minion - Siphon Soul his Deathwing
Love it
