So I'm still missing a LOT of legendaries from Classic as well as most epics. Most commons and rares I have two of or just don't care about anymore. So with that in mind, I keep wondering if I should buy just loads of classic packs with gold right now (I'm a F2P player) or even so so ahead and buy the newest adventure ASAP. I guess I'll be getting it anyway eventually, and I'll still be buying ~50 expansion packs come the next expansion, but I'm thinking the dust I'll get from classic packs plus the possibility of getting a few of the cards I'm missing would be better in the long run since those will never phase out entirely.
Each new expansion and adventure released has shaped the meta, and there is no reason to believe Karazhan to be any exception. You want to play with the newest cards, so grab Karazhan as soon as possible and then fill up holes in your Classic collection later. They don't phase out, so you have plenty of time to do that.
Actually, the dust amount is 2751 from 28 packs (2800 gold worth, or the entire adventure).
That's enough for a Legendary, and nearly 3 epics assuming no legendaries or epics I want actually drop from the pack (which is reasonably likely). So it's like asking if I should craft a legendary and 3 epics that never cycle out or 4 legendaries that I may or may not use that will.
Actually, I guess the adventure is still better because I can dust the cards from it if/when the time comes if they are ones I won't be using anymore. Worked out with Naxx cards.
So it's like asking if I should craft a legendary and 3 epics that never cycle out or 4 legendaries + 41 MORE CARDS that I may or may not use will definitely find use for (and will cycle out 2 years later).
Adventure will give you minimum 4-5 legendaries. While 28 packs will give none. (Legendary drop rate: 1/40 per pack)
Actually, on average it's 1 legendary per 20 packs. With 40 packs being the maximum where you are guaranteed to get one through increasing odds aka the pity timer.

Not trying to be rude here , but that "While 28 packs will give none." part is pretty BS. The "Pity" timer is set to give you at least and definitely one legendary per 40 packs , that does not by a long shot mean that you won't get a legendary in 28 packs. Having said that , I feel like what you are "trying" to say is that buying the whole adventure would give you more value dust-wise than that of 28 packs , which is pretty solid statistically.
All of Loes legendaries are still played even Rafaam, not counting non legs such as Entomb, Dark Peddler or Forgotten Torch. BRM gave thaurissan and plenty of useful non legendaries such as Imp Boss, flamewaker and the infamous grim patron. Having in mind most players will have access to such cards, youll be simply behind by not staying up to the notch.
when I opened 63 packs of WOG during release I got 1 legendary. aka CTHUN..... I understand that its RNG I guess but I mean common... if you buy 50 + packs you have to be really unlucky to get my bad luck

That's not possible
That is not impossible. I opened 60 packs using USD and got 3 legendaries and one of them is useless and one is good and the other is good but I don't use it so I got dust from it to craft a 400 dust epic card which I needed most for my deck to play ranked mode. I too was extremely unlucky. There are guys in this website who get 5 out of 5 golden cards with two legendary golden cards and it is updated everyday on hearthpawn website.
Why not just buy the adventure? 700g a week isn't hard to obtain. You can easily save 5000 for 50 packs of next expansion in the 6-8 weeks before expansion is released. All gold earned in Sept and October can go to classic packs. Not seeing why this is even a question?
Wait till all the cards are announced, figure out what classes you want to play and buy the wings that have the cards you need now, its possible you can skip the last wing or 2 and sink the rest into classic won't know for sure until all the cards are released though.
grab the adventure, usually they release a plethora of powerful cards that make or break decks really deep in the adventure, Looking at you Imp Gang Boss, Flamewaker, Zombie Chow, Mad Scientist, and pre-nerf Undertaker and the most fun part is that at first people don't believe they are viable so you can actually surprise and everything, i know Flamewaker got a lot of flak because Goblin Blastmage existed but once it was released the poor blastmage dissapeared out of existence
Buy the first two wings of LoE, there's just too many good cards in those. Tunnel Trogg, Ethereal Conjurer, Reno, Brann, Roaring Torch...The list goes on and on

Thoughts?
Wait until you have enough information on the cards coming with Karazhan, then decide. personally I'm going for Karazhan because the battles look fun.
It's like asking between 45 new playable cards with 4 or more guaranteed legendaries or 1400 Dust on average with 0 legendaries.

Sorry, dumb question.
I didn't forget it. I just find it unimportant.
Because adventures have never introduced brutally necessary cards to mainstay deck right?

Playing since 1 June 2014.

Solve all problems.

You can't dust classic cards you don't play to create Kara cards, but you can do it the other way around. Wait for Kara.
