I have 8 mana, get slammed by someone who somehow has a board from 2 turns in the future.
You get a triple, it is nothing special, run into guy with board full of win the game units plus a cherry Tier 6.
And because some weeney just died instead of 15, you get hit for 28.
Because some of 5's and 6's are OP especially with synergy, it doesn't particular matter what you do if you don't get one.
This is one of the worst metas that still has a level of playability. It is playable.
But the lack of agency is annoying. If you refresh 5 times and keep whiffing, you are going to die because the lack of development has crippled your board. It is also astonishing the number of game I never get a triple.
Quests were great, they gave you a 2nd way to develop.
Now we are back to Bob's whims having full control over your game.
Spending a whole turn's worth of gold refreshing trying to find a specific unit is a dead giveaway that you're not very skilled at the game. If your objective is to win, gold management and efficiency are pretty important. You have to take what you get and make the most of it. That's what separates 10k MMR from 6k MMR.

Thanks for your scrub advice. I've been at 11800 MMR before.
If I need advice from a worse player, I'll be sure to ask you.
I think the key idea is to not take this game mode too seriously. I see it as a very casual game mode in which being top 4 is seen as a win. It's actually very relaxing to play it when i am not in the mood for standard.
While yes, the heroes that generate multiple buddies are a problem, you can now win with some pretty creative builds, which has always been the charm of buddies and why I think they should stay and never should've gone away.
Indeed I see half the lobby dying at turn 8-9 very often and 2 or 3 people dying on turn 6 is also very common. The patch is fun now but I think this will get really annoying really quick. In fact I already quit after a few games yesterday wich I never did before in battlegrounds. I was consistent top 4 btw so that wasn't the issue (also played top 200 most patches) I just prefer to play against more players and games lasting a bit longer than turn 10-11.
Comps like Elemental , Pirates , Boar ect. are harder to scale to a descent power if games are over so quick. Often when you really start scalling the game is already over within 1 or 2 turns. There are also huge power swings where you just die out of the blue within 2 turns even if you hit all the right things. In my opinion there was 0 reason to lower the health total and it doesn't help the game unless they wan't it to be another "We want to play a quick game in the toilet or waiting room" mode like standard and Marvel Snap.
This meta sucks but is playable.
It sucks because there is no consistency.

I feel the same. The board really snowballs if you get the right 6 or even 5 star unit in time. Or you can completely whiff.
