Whoa! This is closer to Battlegrounds the way it should be.
I've won with the Mech Girl. I've won with a Wrath Weaver. I've won and lost with almost everything. I've seen Murlocs win, but the guy had Triple Brann for a few turns so he better win that game.
No more forcing Murlocs or Dragons because nothing else can win a damn game.
I can't believe they actually fixed so many things like removing Arcane Cannon and nerfing Pagle so bad I don't see why he's Tier 5 honestly.
I am suspecting Shudderwock might be OP in this meta, not for Murlocs, but in general because it enables a ton of easy buffing.
Yeh it is actually quite surprising good. Maybe beasts might come out on top, we'll see. But the games were less retarded even though I had bad luck runs and lost quite a lot MMR these days. Still wasn't that mad about it. There was mayb one situation where I thought that they are too stupid to design this.
Honestly, I had almost mentally given up on Battlegrounds being anything except a RNG fiesta. Maybe enough I'm a bit afraid to be "relieved" it is back to a strategy game where decisions matter.
I’ll be the harbinger. It is good, it won’t last. It’s good right now because it’s still being figured out what is best, but it looks like we will have a stale meta again soon. The saying goes, what’s old is new again, and soul juggler is a bit too strong, just like before pirates/cannon. Beasts is also very strong in the mid game. Murlocs are still tough to beat thanks to poisonous and of course, there is the shudderwock/Dinotamer Brann pogo hopper cheese. I’m not sure which build is going to be the best, but it’s becoming obvious that dragons and pirates are needing help.
The mid game is too strong to play dragons successfully as you need to wait for razorgore, malygos and nadina to be winning consistently and there just isn’t time for that. They may be viable as the new divine shield synergy build, but again, it’s going to be tough to beat out huge beasts with that.
Pirates kind of fell apart once arcane cannon went away. They need ripsnarl and the six tier to work and you end up dying in the mid game without the cannon.
I agree that battlegrounds is the best it’s been in a while but when half the tribes are stronger than the other half, it’s bound to stagnate.

The exception: if I go George The Fallen, I force Murlocs. Poisonous divine shield Murlocs are still very much a thing with George The Fallen, haha! It's actually a great reason to play that hero now.

Menagerie is the way to go until tier 3, maybe 4. It’s nice to discover menagerie jug if you don’t have a synergistic option at tier 3 discover, but unless you have a brann, it’s not great for a buy... and if you have a brann, switch murlocs. The brann and lookout combo is still alive and well. After that tier, tribes will usually win.
Reno + Tier 5 Mama Bear seems nuts. Other than that, I'm not seeing a lot of cheese strats. So happy to see Cannon gone, though the early game feels very hero dependent right now.
While murlocs were traditionally a fun class they did let it get out of control. A lot of builds, including pirates as a tribe in general are actually viable now.
Having said that even though it's funner now, battlegrounds is still very stale. I think the mode is fun but it kind of has ran it's course in the freshness department. Just mho.

battlegrounds is still a no skill rng fiesta and always will be but, accepting that, the removal of cannon made the mode much more enjoyable,

Good old menagerie is valid again and toki is ripping me easy wins with tier 6 minions now that poison/divine shield is out.
