Just sayin, played a lot of BG last Months (or wasted my Time) however you wanna call it. And my final Conclusion is that its just Bullshit. Somehow it got me addicted but the more i think about it, its just a retarded Game. Why do we waste our time with stuff like this? Theres nothing to "win" there. Even a Gambler at Casinos can get better kicks than this. And there are even PPl, that want BG to be competitve and are proud of theyr high "MMR". And this in a Game where you can get a disbled Person with more than 2 Brain Cells left to about 9000MMR if you give him some time . (believe me im the best proof for it) So all in all- now that i climbed and most likely saw most Things possible, i start to hate it, and i just feels like a retarded Time Waste of a Game to me. Take that Salt, and Peace, im out
Everything is a waste of time if you don't enjoy it. Expecially every videogame of course. So yeah it's good if you quit since a lot of people is addicted to hs and they hate it and they play for hours on end.
Personally I play some BG but I don't really care about MMR, Im f2p and when I don't like my heroes selection I just concede and start another. Something I find myself starting anew game and after a minute I realize I'm tired of playing and I quit. No need to be stressed
My god, you sir have some serious issues. You played the game a lot = you most likely enjoyed it. Now you are quitting it, because it's a fun mode with some randomness involved. It's still fun, but your elitist tryhard personality doesn't allow you to play it.
You even mention "try" in the tittle, as if it was some guilty pleasure, some destroying addiction, to play it for such a tryhard competitive person like you.
If only people dedicated so much effort, time and energy to tryhard in their actual lives, as they do to tryhard in the online games :D

Some randomness is a bit of an understatement, don't you think?
RNG starts from the hero selection, sometimes you get the best heroes, sometimes you get bad ones. You have no control over that.
Then the units offered, force you to play a bad comp.
Even if you somehow get a good comp, attack order. 'If I attack first, I win, if not, I lose'. This is bullshit
Even if that works out and you get the first attack, your minion on the left goes somewhere completely irrelevant. And you lose. Or, same thing happens to your opponent and you win. How many times this happened to you, to others?
BG is 75% RNG, its everywhere. HS is RNG too, a lot of it, but at least you pick your own class and deck, then clown fiesta happens. In BG, game is like 'I feel like you should have Eudora this game and roll everyone with it', or 'You know what, fuck you and all your loved ones, no win for you in this lobby'
For me there has to be a certain reward in playing. It's either the enjoyment of the game itself or the progress it gives. I don't play BG for that exact reason. I don't care about MMR and I don't enjoy BG. I play wild to test new interesting decks, do daily quests and try to hit legend from time to time. If there is no reason for you to play then don't. Because without a reward you care about, it is in the literal sense a waste of time.

The thing is I don't care, because I simply enjoy the mode. And this rng doesn't prevent me from climbing regularly, even though it just comes naturally with playing and not being utterly bad at it and I couldn't care less.
In the end it's not ladder so the only thing I am looking at is whether I have fun or not. I do. The guy in the OP says he played the mode a lot and now he "wants to try" to quit it.
So either he has fun, but wants to quit the mode, because it's not competitive enough for him with the randomness involved or he doesn't have fun, yet he played plenty of the mode for whatever reason he could have he did not state.
In either scenario I find it hilarious and mind-boggling and I always wonder what such person would achieve, should they have the same level of time and motivation to spend for solving their real-life problems, opposite to the online game.
You need to have a lot of patience to play BG, because like the others said its a heavily RNG based game.
You will lose a lot, even with great minions, even with 99.99% chance to win(I have disabled the chance meter, because I dont want to know my chances anymore). Some people(maybe they are aliens/robots?) can't be tilted at all, that's why they are so good at this game.
My suggestion is to play for fun and only when you really want to play it. Dont play it to climb to the leaderboards. And if you dont enjoy this mode then dont play it at all!
