According to Hearthstone mathematics (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yicllh875nU) this expansion is having a 73% playrate, i know that a lot of good cards are gone but this dont change the fact that this exp is very good i am liking the meta so far (a lot of good and cool decks)
Its kinda cheating since we have the shallowest cardpool for the year rn, but it really seems most of what they were going for were hits.
Lackeys are solid, twinspell has been more of a success the most would have thought, and schemes are seeing play (though I would argue they are the closest to a miss this expansion.
I was thinking today about how previous "powerful" sets were carried by maybe a few cards (Knights of the Frozen Throne cough cough) but RoS has thrown a much wider viable net that is refreshing to see.
I do belive last year has something to do with the playrate, i belive that if we had something in the powerlevel of KoF and KaC it would be hard to see those number, i do like the meta overall but the moutain giant mage is way to explosive in stats for me
it's certainly my favourite in a long time. it's got me playing new classes as well. the past couple of years have just given me loads of tools for warlock and rogue, no complaints there, but it is nice to be delving into shaman and druid a bit, as I had barely touched them previously.
I think shaman is my favourite class at the moment as well because of all the weird and wonderful decks that can be made right now. they might not be top tier, but they're top fun.

RoS is the epitome of RPS system breeding unhealthy encounters and frustration due to the binary way most of the games are being resolved.
Special mention to the current top tier decks having the astounding trait of having a deadly early, mid and lategame altogether without any need for a miraculous draw, just being themselves and crushing the more laborious, some might say fairer in their concepts, decks.
RoS is a PoS. Also post micro-adjustments, arena became, as a whole, a more viable way to entertain oneself skill-wise.

Not really, it only went downhill with the state and balance of this game.
